Can you use this software to update the game cartridges? Since updating to latest firmware using this, some games (Pokken,Mario etc) will no longer let me play unless I update them.
How did you fix it? Still selecting as file and not folder for me :/Got it all sorted now
I was using a Mac.That causing issues for start.Create a folder on the root of your SD called "Firmware" and put the latest firmware inside (unzip the downloaded file in that exact folder. Would if i could, switch is banned
But if you get the controller update prompt, the update should already be on your Switch, no?Would if i could, switch is banned
Its not something that comes with the firmware, its something ChoiDujourNX provides. The wording in the OP might suggest otherwise so I can see where the confusion would come from.Is it possible to find firmware with exFAT and firmware without exFAT, or does ChoidujourNX independently add it on anyway?
Also, should one make a new NAND backup to be extra safe - say if they were to accidentally boot officially and burnt fuses I guess the original one would be useless (just trying to make sure I am understanding this)
Both of those games require firmware 5.1Hi,
Happy New Year to all,
my switch is on fw 4.1, just brought the SX OS, already extract exFAT from Kirby Star Allies. I would like to play Super Smash, do I first install exfat, then install fw 6.0 to be able to play super smash and mario party?
then in advance
I see, so I install 1st exfat from 4.1 then install 2nd 5.1 fw?Both of those games require firmware 5.1
No, exFAT is firmware-specific so whenever you change firmwares, it needs to be re-installed.I see, so I install 1st exfat from 4.1 then install 2nd 5.1 fw?
I see, thanksNo, exFAT is firmware-specific so whenever you change firmwares, it needs to be re-installed.
that's not right, it is something that comes with firmwares. it includes two NCAs and their cnmts, so four extra files, that contain Firmware C and D separate from the normal A and B. they're the same but with FS that supports exFAT. they're listed here: https://switchbrew.org/wiki/Title_list#System_Data_ArchivesIts not something that comes with the firmware, its something ChoiDujourNX provides. Als you don't have to make a new NAND backup but if you do, make sure you properly label it so it doesn't get mixed up with older dumps.
no game updates are a different thing, those are installed online via the + menu for legit setups and via piracy for piracy setupsCan you use this software to update the game cartridges? it is possible to find one without exFAT if it's dumped from the system partition of a console without exFAT. the ones people generally use though are dumped from consoles with exFAT or game cartridge update partitions which all come with exFATIs it possible to find firmware with exFAT and firmware without exFAT, or does ChoidujourNX independently add it on anyway?

Yes, your steps are fine.New to this forum, sorry if I am asking stupid questions. Thanks for your help in advance. Few things before I jump into updating to 5.1.0. Currently at 4.1.0 and fat partition,
1. Should I wait till there is another exploit that avoids using pushing a pay load all the time. I see in some posts stating it's no point waiting. But confused if I do update to 5.1.0 and if an exploit does come out for 4.1.0 that boots directly do I loose that or can I simply back up to 4.1.0 with my original nand backups.
2. The firmware I downloaded from xbin for 5.1.0 (is this just original dump of ns firmware), I dump this into the firmware folder with nca files and that's all
3. Back up old hekate file, dont need to add nogc as I am already at > 4.1.0
4. Use CNX to load firmware and enable autorcm (even if I have currently activated autorcm via hekate)
5. Once loaded it up replace hekate file with original one
Do I have this right so far from all the reading, I have done.
thank you all.
did you update to 6.1 without exFAT and use an exFAT SD card? you'll need to reformat your cardHi, great tool, thanks heaps.
I have used it to update from 4.0.1 to 6.1 using ReINX and worked fine, no errors, then went to reboot as required with AutoRCM ticked. However now when I boot, I can successfully inject ReINX payload and the splash screen appears but then it doesn't actually boot and I'm just left with a blank screen. Any ideas?
Thanks
