hmm. it's close enough

you can do the same thing. comment out anything that refers to winsound and change all paths to mac paths
example
"defaultPath = '\\resources\\blank.png'"
to
"defaultPath = '/resources/blank.png'

You're running the windows GUI version (pyw) and not the console script version (py). Download the right file and you'll be good.

Thank you! Its working now!

i read your thread and just tried it and it worked. i did it by drag and dropping because screw typing in directories and file names.

downloaded py script.
installed python3 via brew
installed Pillow
then i typed "python3" dragged the script into the terminal window, then i dragged a png file. the script ran and made a "splash.bin" in my home directory

Everything is now properly. Thanks to AnalogMan.. Thanks again you guys. Much appreciated!
