Hacking Can I go online?

Hi you dear people,
so I have not been playing with my switch for a few months now. I have cracked it though and were playing on firmware 5.1 and I believe SX OS 1.3.
Soon Pokemon will come out and I want to play again. For this I would play with my boyfriend online or at least trade together and I have no problem to buy the game for it.
What can I do so I limit the chances to get banned in official fw?
I never went online before and always stuck in flight mode.

I am just not really familiar with all these terms so I would just like to know if I would be fine if I put out my SD card and boot into normal fw to play with the cartridge.
 
Going online with that Switch is almost a guaranteed ban. You'd have to buy another Switch and keep it clean if online play in any game is a must for you.

You will get banned if you have ever installed *NSPs, or had homebrew related crashes.
*ticketless NSPs might be ok. But I still recommend that you uninstall them before upgrading.

To limit the chances of getting banned:
  1. Upgrade SXOS to the latest version before updating to the latest Switch firmware.
  2. Never disable Stealth mode when using SXOS.
  3. Don't use other CFWs (unless you know how to block crash reports & Nintendo related ips.)

No, no, no

If you have not made a backup nand ( rawnand.bin 29go boot0 boot1) before any hack modification, you can't go online without being banned, on 100%, if you haven't taken this precaution there's nothing more to do to avoid the sanction of nintendo the Ban!!
Point to line, buy a second switch and the only solution for you.

I've been playing online since August without backups. Maybe I'm special?

Of course it works for you, because you ban yourself, you say "Never disable Stealth mode" but if you go online without restoring the nand, you are sure to be banned at some point, there is a 130-page thread here, full of reports of people who are banned, even for homebrew without error log.
So I was banned about 3 weeks ago. I only used homebrew for occasional emulation purposes ONLY. (I dont have my switch on me right now so i can fill out the form just yet) I upgraded to 6.1.0, ran some homebrew got a error message out the blue, then tried to go online with OFW and bam, switch banned.

I called Nintendo up and to ask what happened, blah blah blah, and the rep said that the bans are handled by a Japanese company that does deep scans of the systems and detect things like homebrew and the like. That Nintendo of Japan takes this seriously, and there is nothing they can do as it has been watched and searched with a thorough investigation by this japanese company.

I was transferred to 3 different reps at the Nintendo USA side but a higher supervisor was needed to even tell me what i was banned for and had to be given permission to do so.

Oh well, time to hack the living hell out this device.

I'm gonna start by apologizing, because I'm gonna ask something similar to the thread topic, but a bit different, hope you don't mind OP.

I have been using Hekate since July/August, not really sure. And didn't go through any measures to block anything, I simply used it to edit saves, then restart back to ofw, I have only ever run Checkpoint, Edizon and Sys-Netcheat if my memory is correct. Up until now, I've been using everything else normally, bought my games, etc etc; would you reckon I'd still get a superban? Also I'm planning to get a 2nd switch soon (the pokemon one), is it possible to transfer my account to that one? And would that make it a target for a ban as well? Thanks in advance everyone, and again I apologize OP.

I believe if you have a clean switch and use SX OS emunand you are currently safe to go online in OFW. It may be possible to detect in the future since the emunand is stored in the user partition, but no one has been banned yet to my knowledge. Don't listen to the haters.
 
Wrong!

Superdukester did not use SXOS emunand from a clean nand install. Like it or not, as long as you have a clean nand to start with it is safe to use SX OS emunand and go online with OFW after. At least for the time being.

He mentions plans to get a new switch, and wonders if it would be possible to transfer the saves onto it. This would be possible using emunand.
 
I have sxpro since the first day of its release, I have a clean dump nand, made with hekaté, it's the first thing I did. Do you think I use emunand sxos? No need for that, because the only viable solution I know is simple, cfw offline stealth, ofw I restore my nand (which I have done 6 times now)
In short, everyone does what they want, just gives good information.

Now, if he buys a new switch, I don't see the problem, it's the console that's banned, rarely the account, so yes he can be quiet with his new switch

Why risky to have 2 consoles banned
Nintendo has a cloud service for that, if you do it by hack? Homebrew, you really need to have money wasted.
Then you're going to buy a third switch? The console he will use for homebrew hack, the new one to be in good standing with the tos on nintendo online
