Quick question. Is it okay to prepare a micro sd card for cfw (nro, nsp files etc etc) BEFORE it's ever been inserted in the switch you want to use it with? Or does the switch format the card the first time it is used?
Yes you can do it. Switch does not format the card. When you update FW you need to ensure you choose update with exfat supportQuick question. Thanks for the reply. The switch I am waiting for is on the latest fw and has the ex fat support and I just want to have the sd card ready for when it arrives. Cheers!Yes you can do it. Switch does not format the card. When you update FW you need to ensure you choose update with exfat support

Read this: https://guide.sdsetup.com/ and read everything they throw at you. Before you get to the step where you have to build the SD files, backup your NAND.Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a proper TO DO list before hacking my Nintendo Switch.
Like what should i do first ? Dump my Nand ? How ? Hacking my Switch first ??
There's a lot of tutorials everywhere and i'm quite confused.
Thanks for your help
How do you update Reinx? Like imagine a new version comes out. Do we just overwrite the files on the SD card? And if so which files specifically?
Using the SX Pro is simple. Just grab their boot.dat, put it on the root of the SD card, use the jig to enter RCM on the Switch, then plug the SX Pro in. That's it.Hey ! Thanks for your quick answer !
By any chance do you have a guide quite similar for SX Excuter pro ?
FG is the exploit you use to load cfw, and ReiNX is a cfw you can load. Both are different things but get used together. So you use FG to load ReiNX/atmosphere/SX OSHi guys. I have 6.0.1 switch and I'm gathering information about modding it. If I am correct I can use fusee Gelee or reinx for hacking it. What is the best method?
Try formatting the SD card. Also, there is currently no other way to load Atmosphere without Fusee Gelee.I’ve been using SXOS past few months, just recently changed to Atmosphere because of IPS game patching feature. Having a bit of trouble with 2 CFW’s on the 1 microSD card.
I can’t go back to SXOS when the console has been turned off when it was in Atmosphere CFW. I have to delete the Atmosphere files, only then will SXOS work.
And what’s the best alternative to having to use a PC+Tegra everytime I need to turn console off & on again for Atmosphere?
The problem lies in your micro SD card if Hekate can't find it. If you are absolutely 100% sure its not the SD card, then there may be something wrong with the SD card reader of your console.I tried to use a micro-sd, but Hekate can't read it. I tried different payloads of Hekate.
I tried to boot Atmosphere with fusee-primary.bin. I think that is what caused the problem. How could I fix this?
Atmosphere is supported on firmware 1.0 although there's not much you can do aside from homebrew. If you wish to keep your 1.0 console while still being able to update your firmware, I recommend using ChoiDujourNX to upgrade without burning fuses; fuses primarily prevent downgrading. Note that it will also install AutoRCM to prevent fuses from being burnt but AutoRCM is completely manageable in the right hands. So I still have my switch on 1.0.0 firmware. At this point in time regarding Atmosphere, is there any reason to not update? Or would I run into less problems by just updating?
Currently, the only thing not supported on firmware 6.X is DevMenu. So I am using the switch with reinx perfectly for some time on 5.0 firmware. Today I want to update to the latest version so is there any issue with reinx like sleep mode n all? Anything to do before updating?
P.S I will be updating through the official process btw n not choujidour
The only way to get exFAT before hacking the console involves inserting an exFAT formatted SD card and downloading the patch which will simultaneously update you to the latest firmware. An alternative and highly recommended way of obtaining exFAT support is by using the homebrew application, ChoiDujourNX.Hi everyone!
I got my dongle today, was thinking to inject payload to my switch today. I was thinking to have exFat support in my switch which is version 4.1. What I read that I need to update my switch and get exfat support before injecting? Or is there alternative method?
Thank you very much. Fusee Gelee is used with Linux whyle tegraRCMgui is for windows. Is it correct?FG is the exploit you use to load cfw, and ReiNX is a cfw you can load. Both are different things but get used together. So you use FG to load ReiNX/atmosphere/SX OS
No, Fusee Gelee is the name of the exploit of using a Fusee-based launcher such as Fusee Gelee Launcher for Linux and TegraRCMSmash for Windows (TegraRCMGUI is a derivative of the original launcher). Both launchers are used to load the same exploit.Thank you very much. Fusee Gelee is used with Linux whyle tegraRCMgui is for windows. Is it correct?
Maybe bad beef between ReiSwitched and rajkosto? Because of him, the stash was no longer publicly shared and we now have a "CFW" named RajNX, which even some of the ReSwitched developers are not fans of. I can't speak much for the ReiSwitched team but these are just some of the reasons I can imagine why they don't choose to support it in their official guide. So, why doesn't reinx tutorial advise using chudujour? It even states it's fine to burn fuses and updating with the standard method of connecting the switch online is fine which imo seems extremely dangerous.
Also I accidentally booted into reinx before backing up my nand, did I just flag myself?
No, FG is the exploit and is not platform dependant, so long as you can make the software to execute the exploit in that platform. Hence why Android phones can also do it. tegraRCMgui is a front-end for tegraRCMsmash which is the most-used windows version of that FG exploit.Thank you very much.
