Hello.

So, a couple weeks ago my Switch was banned, and today my update data for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe got corrupted. I was just wondering if there was any way to fix it, as I can't redownload the update from Nintendo's servers.

If this question has been asked or resolved before then feel free to lock/remove this thread.

(Bonus Question) Because my switch is now banned, Is there any risk to installing nsp's(aside from a potential brick)?

You can delete the update data and reinstall it with an NSP file.
If you're cert banned, i don't see any risk to install these files
