Hi
I just bought a switch.
My main idea is play with backups and in a future can play online. To make these I think I must make a
Backup nand and when I would like to play online restore these backup.
Is correct?
Thanks and sorry for my English

That's not useful though. That's like "If you don't wanna get banned, don't buy a Switch"

We all know not hacking is safe, it's so annoying seeing it. People just want to do what they can to minimize the risk is all.
I get that. Really. But in all likelihood, modifying the Switch in any way is risking a ban. Therefore, the safest way to avoid a ban is to not mod your system.

I bought a second Switch specifically for online.

Just wait for a proper emunand instead of restoring a fresh nand several times. You gotta be desperate if you're really trying to prevent getting banned. Yes I get it, you probably want to play those terrible Nintendo games online

I use mine offline, as long as I can get updates/DLC I'm happy haha.

Although what do you mean 'proper' emunand? You mean something that can like refresh itself or inject a different cert into a game?

He means proper EmuNAND which is literary a clone of NAND on SD (partitioning and so on).
This pseudo-EmuNAND we have right now is on your NAND and it is just a few .bin files.

Nice retalitory response.

No its nothing like that at all. If you don't own a switch than even the thought of a ban doesnt even matter, as you don't even have one.

You own a switch, and you are looking to avoid a ban, then don't modify it or break nintendos TOS its not a hard concept. At the current time there is no 100% fullproof ban avoid unless you permanently maintain an offline pressence and a clean nand backup. Feel free to try any of the methods floating around to avoid bans, just don't be upset if you do get banned. you know what may happen if you play with fire ;)

My best advice to staying unbanned? Clean nand back up when going online, removing sd card when going online, removing all network information when in cfwx Only used xci's. Seems to have worked well so far.

- Don't use NSPs
- Just use XCIs
- Stay offline in CFW
- Use a different mSD for CFW
- Use an unconnected profile for CFW

Works for me so far.

And that only matters if you go ONLINE. If you'r staying OFFLINE, it doesn't matter what format you play. Besides, it's not like .XCI are 100% safe either

Nope... I'm note sure if you really understand the difference. Anyway.

Yes i understand the difference completely. If you don't go online then it doesn't matter if you use .XCI or .NSP. .NSP are only unsafe if you connect online
Yes, but what he's trying to say is when alternating back to online, which is what he's demonstrating how to do without getting banned, you cannot have NSPs installed because there will be traces, with XCI no traces are left.

If so, then that's not AT ALL the point they are getting across, especially when they say, and i quote" Nope... I'm note sure if you really understand the difference. Anyway." when i made it CLEAR that i'm talking about staying offline completely

Yes but he said that because you did not understand what he was saying. You are comprehending it as him telling OP to stay completely offline but he is giving a method so that you can have CFW with minimal ban risk, what OP originally asked.

No, i was the one who talked about being completely offline, not them. I said, and i quote "If you're staying offline then using .NSP or .XCI doesn't make a lick of difference" which it doesn't, and i got completely shot down as if i have just said the biggest lie ever. I think you're the one who's confused here

Oh dude, it does!
XCI files don't have to be installed with SXOS, so they won't leave traces.

It still leaving traces of your play time and the certificate hash of this xci, if the game crash or produce any warning, it's traced on the telemetry system too...
