What is PictoCard?
PictoCard is a free service for sending digital greeting cards with your own custom image and text. Whether you're sending a thank you, a birthday wish, or just a quick note, upload any photo, write your message, and share it instantly. Inspired by the classic simplicity of Apple's iCards, we focus on what matters: your message, beautiful fonts, and zero bloat.
Why?
I first had the idea of working on this during around 2022 when working on RC24. I realized that it's hard to find a site that simply lets users create greeting cards to send to friends via email as a simple image. Sites to send e-cards these days are loaded with JavaScript, animations, or cost money. Apple offered iCards through 2000 to 2008, and I wanted to revive that functionality with some of my own touches, somewhat inspired by RiiTag, another project I worked on. I soft-launched this project in March 2026, but I wanted to post about it here because it hasn't really taken off yet.

Features
- Allows sending to either email addresses or Discord
- Requires a verification code to send messages in order to prevent abuse
- Allows using any image you want for the card
- The ability to opt-out of receiving PictoCards
- The ability for the recipient of a PictoCard to send a thank-you back to the PictoCard sender (Discord only).
- Various choices of fonts to use on the card
- The ability to add a Mii onto the card
- The ability to send PictoCards to Wii Mail, if the recipient adds PictoCard's email
- The ability to change the text color
