the eMMC solution sounds Great but itsnt a pain in the ass ? well i still have the hopes high for an emunand solution

I still have hopes for emunand too, but switching physical eMMC modules sounds like the ultimate, undetectable solution. It's pretty much the best way of staying unbanned, short of buying a second switch. It may be a bit of a hassle to set up, but to be able to just swap modules rather than worry about backing up and restoring NAND backups makes it sooo worthwhile.

Also, apparently you can even swap it out with a larger module, like 128gb or 256gb, and you can get the Switch to recognize and use the extra space!

I would love to see a payload that can read files from the eMMC instead of the microSD.

Well there is nothing original to be cloned, and its also a different approach to what you define as real, thus, its not a clone.
Then Arduino clones are also a different approach xd.
Both (original and the clone) are trying to do the same, but Arduino clones are made differently than the real one.

SX just instead of doing it the proper way (how everyone expects EmuNAND to work), went the fast and weird way (making .bin files in your NAND which are the EmuNAND).

But this is not a thread about EmuNANDs. He already got his answer.

Oh, this dude. Yea, maybe after restoring it like 150 000+ times, there might be some damage.
They can survive hundreds of rewrites.
You know more :)

TX EmuNAND is like a cheap copy (knock off) of real EmuNAND.
He wants real EmuNAND, which need partitions and such on your SD (probably), not just a few .bin files which are on your NAND.

Data about your console which are sent to Nintny. One of those is NAND size, so never go online with EmuNAND.
Why not? I’ve used xci backups online in Emunand so far no problems but then again all I seem to read from you is hatred comments towards TX like the one about telling a poor member how his switch would brick because it took him more than 2hrs to complete the Emunand setup if he clicked on cancel. Do you not think that TX don’t test these possible issues out? You seem to know so much about TX’s downfall with there cfw I read it constantly from you!

If you can afford $20 for online service and $60 for a legit game cartridge (to play online), then you can afford $200 for a used Switch (tablet only) that will be used for online/legit purposes only

Uh, I know I'm kinda late to the party but we already knew restoring a clean NAND before going online is the safest way to go.
So I’m in a bit of a pickle, I backed up my nand when I was on 5.Something, and my brother updated to 6.0, if I tried to restore my nand would there be some kind of conflict with my switch trying to restortoto factory settings AND to a lower version? Scared to test it

Every time you boot up the system, you must use the RCM exploit and launch your favorite cfw since RCM ignores burnt fuse checks.

Sorry for this post but now I undersatand what that user meant by self ban, even if your switch is offline and you are not playing online because risk of ban it is the same as a self ban

I don't remember who said that from the scene but it's about restoring the nand many times it may affect internal memory, it's similar to formating an SD card.
whoever told you that had no idea what they are talking about. The emmc will support at LEAST 100k write cycles. The writes under normal use would far exceed the occasional restore. I don't care if they were "devs" they clearly don't understand how flash and wear leveling on flash controllers work.

That's not what they are saying. If you are already banned it won't help you. It can help you keep it clean, but only if you do it right.

I'm curious though. Would this allow me to keep my original emmc on 3.0.1 and set aside for future cold boot exploit. While using bought emmc with latest firmware to hack while staying offline, as long as I don't blow any fuses?

Yup! But that's kind of backwards if you want to play online. For playing online, you'd need to update your "stock" emmc to the latest version. If you use Hekate you can boot "stock" I believe without burning fuses. But you still must be very careful when updating not to burn fuses.

Sounds about right, Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Couldn't they detect if I don't have enough fuses burnt though?

You don't need a 2nd switch lol
You need a 2nd microsd card
Sorry to say but your very misinformed.
Tickets and error logs are on the nand NOT the sd card. Fake tickets and error logs of non tittles will get you baned. Installing nsps even if only on sd card will still load the ticket to nand.

Yes, technically they could, but I don't think we have any evidence to show that they're doing that. If they did start banning based on burnt fuses, there would be no safe way of playing online without updating to the latest version and locking yourself out of downgrades and/or potential future exploits.

I'm not too overly concerned, I'm fine using AutoRCM. I suppose they could start detecting that too, in which case I'd have to stick with RCM using a jig.

can't you read? Xecuter EmuNAND is not what everyone imagines under the word EmuNAND. Their EmuNAND is just an image of your NAND, sitting on your NAND.
