Hacking Help, formatted my SD card and 5.5.3 updated and I can't start hbc from Haxchi

So, basically, I needed to format the SD card from my WiiU since I needed it for something else and I can't find my backup.

Also, I lend my wiiU to a friend and the WiiU kinda updated (forgot to told him to change the DNS of his WiFi connection).

From what I read, 5.5.3 shouldn't be a problem thought.

But, now I'm trying to start the HBC via Haxchi (holding A while launching it a second time after starting CFW) and the hbc doesn't start. I figured I needed the file on my SD card. So I followed the step of the WiiU hack guide website but it doesn't seems to do the trick.

What am I forgetting?

Is the sd card formatted to fat32? and is HBC in Wii U/apps?

Think you just need to put back the necessary file for you to be able to run haxchi, and use the custom haxchi config file I believe.

No, I wonder why I didn't do it. I have to launch HBC trough Haxchi

Also your shortcuts probably need to be re-done. Holding a to get to HBC is a shortcut.

Next time before you format your card copy all the files over to your computer so you can just move them back. You made it unnecessarily hard on yourself.

How do I do this? I simply need to get the latest Haxchi .zip and change the config file?

Well, as I said I did made that backup before formatting the SD card. But I can't find where I put it (it was like 1 years ago)

Inside haxchi edit the config.txt. This is how mine looks for reference. But if your files are setup different you have to do them to your files (i.e. if the .elf is just in apps you'd do a=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher.elf)

a=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
b=sysmenu
y=wiiu/apps/mocha/mocha.elf

Nah, the actually used config.txt is inside the DS game, the one in the SD is only used by the installer

I'm sorry but no that's wrong then you wouldn't be able to change them I've changed mine recently and used them and the shortcuts work exactly as I posted above (i.e. y for mocha) in the config.txt in the haxchi folder.

But you re-ran the installer afterwards, didn't you?

The official build at least can only read config.txt from romfs

No I didn't re-run any installer. It reads it from the sd card. If you don't have the path set in config.txt in the haxchi folder it won't go to hbc.

I use the official build.
