Do you own an ntrboot-compatible DS flashcart?

I do but don't think it works on my 3ds for some reason. I have an ak2i with ntrboot on it.
But before trying soundhax I tried to use ntrboot and every time it would just black screen or boot into sleep mode while I had the button combo pressed and the magnet over the sleep trigger.

So I have no idea if it will work, I definitely installed ntrboot onto the acekard, but can't test it cos my n3ds systems just boot to boot.bin regardless of it I use the ak2i or not since they're already hacked.

With Luma3DS v9.1, it will tell you on the configuration settings page how Luma3DS was booted. So, you can use the ntrboot flashcart on your 3DS that already has B9S installed, and it will tell you if you loaded it through ntrboot or B9S.

I recommend using your ntrboot flashcart to reinstall B9S onto this 3DS, making sure to redownload all of the required files. If it's not working, then you're likely doing something wrong. The magnet placement and the timing can be finicky. I also recommend reinstalling ntrboot onto the flashcart. Early versions of the ntrboot installer had compatibility issues with the Acekard 2i, even when successfully installed.

oh shit it worked this time!! booted to godmode9 using my ak2i. Should be able to get somewhere with this hopefully.
Should I replace ctr boot.bin with luma boot.bin or hold off on that for a minute until after I can boot into luma config first?

I'll go through the usual ntrboot setup now then just to be safe, let's see how this goes.

My guess is something about your SD card caused a corrupted B9S install. After all, one of your SD card wasn't writing files properly.

The easiest thing to do would be to use the ntrboot flashcart to reinstall B9S. You can do this by following the guide. If GodMode9 booted, then this should work. I recommend redownloading all of the needed files.

Just done it, it's bootlooping safeb9s so look like everything is good now.
Thanks a bunch for all the help with this and for sticking with me this far, made myself feel like a total noob but nvm haha
