A game known as “Hardcore” (working title) was planned to be released on the Sega Genesis in 1994. However, the game was canceled just before release and was 99% completed before cancellation due to a shift to the next generation of consoles. Now, in 2019, the game will finally be released on the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita. The game is even being finished on a real Genesis SDK kit and then ported over. The announcement trailer and a link to the official website is below.

The game seems fun. It kinda looks like a bit ahead of it's time (if it was released in 1994/1995)

Honestly I think they should have a limited edition version that gives you a cart that you can actually play on the Sega Genesis. They’re doing a limited physical version for PS4 and Vita. If I had a PS4 or Vita, I think I’d actually pick this up.

this looks like a cross between metroid and contra 3, where gameplay and arrtstyle are all ripped from contra 3 the alien wars, and its more exploratory like metroid games abit.

Is that where you actually have a life meter? I mean, some 2d shooters, you’ll loose a life when you get hit (contra or metal slug), instead of having a life meter.
well most on foot shooters have life metters on america, i mean lots of movie tie in 2d walk shooters all had life metters.

like people said its probably refering to being a turrican clone i guess maybe the engine and such is all very similar.

"Unreleased since XXXX" That is some innovation.

Too bad I'm not into Sony Systems... maybe KHIII will change that... Square Enix as always...

oh, a turrican clone.
I would have prefer if it was released by Psygnosis themselves ! (well, bought by Sony in 1995)
Their website only talk about DICE, but the video is about Psygnosis.

who gave them the data? sony? how did they got the idea?

how many other dead game projects can be revived?
