Hello Guys, I wanna know why is it every time my son turn on his 2DS it will ask for the 4 digit PIN, because I turn on the PIN on the Luma3DS so that my son wont be able to access Godmode9 or the Luma3ds setting but everytime my son turn on his 2DS he will be ask with the 4 Combination, is there a setting that it will by pass that one? and I though turning the security combination on is for Luma setting or the GodMode setting only.

I'm assuming you activated this upon loading Luma3DS v9.0. That pin is to lock the firmware itself.
If so, you want to set the PIN lock to Off and then go into the actual 3ds system settings and turn on the 4 digit pin there. System Settings>Parental Controls>Change>Set Restrictions. On my nephew's system, PG13+ and the system apps require the pin, such as FBI. The downside, is if they know the button combination to activate godmode9 on boot up, this will allow them to be able to do that. Hopefully your child has been taught loss and they know that by messing at all with that, they will lose their system.

Yes I did turn on the PIN Lock on Luma3DS because there are times when he turn on the 2DS he was holding the select that's why the Luma3DS chain loader show up, with the PIN lock on he cannot change the setting of the Luma3DS or the GodMode, and if I turn on the PIN Lock on the actual setting of the 2DS will it require a PIN Lock for example he accidently press the select during turning on the 2ds?

According to the news article, the one here on temp, this is the fix.
I have not try this my self at the moment, i have not update while im writing this (so i don't know if this fix still work with the past FW), but i will probably try or wait for an update version of Luma with the fix.

Hey guys - what is the proper procedure for updating Luma? I have the Luma Updater v2.3 installed on my N3DS but it says the latest version is already installed. Should I just select "Install stable version"? Will that pull in the commits since 9.0 was released? Or is there a better way to do it manually?

I think the updater won't see it until Aurora pushes a new release, not just a commit.

I really would like to see some a9lh CFW that allows 11.8 install and is still supported. for now I will stay on 11.6 and luma3DS 6.x.
First, it is highly recommended that you update from A9LH to B9S. Second, even with A9LH, you can use Luma3DS v7.0.5 and system version 11.7.

what do I gain from b9s? and no, I couldn't care less about that extra second boot time or "cleaner code".
More features, the ability to update your CFW, and the ability to update your system.
Edit: In addition, the ability to use other firm payloads like GodMode9.

feature to get banned on 11.8? I don't think this is a feature. and I do not see why this would not be possible on a9lh.

I can even use godmode9 on a9lh just fine. so which CFW still supports it?

A9LH was abandoned for b9s. Good luck trying to find someone whos willing to code everything needed to get it back running to current version.

when will he compile a release to fix 11.8

There are already nightlies out there that fix 11.8

OK, thanks. So at this point is it sufficient to download the latest release and copy boot.firm to my SD card? Will that allow 11.8 to work correctly? Just want to make sure I get this right before updating.
