Team Rebug SwitchMe UP - Modchip installed and working

PROJECT STATUS NEWS UPDATE: July 17th - Team REBUG has gotten their Switch Modchip Up and Running Perfectly! :)
SwitchMeUp-Installed.jpg

The last update we had from Team REBUG on their project status was back on July 4th, that they got in the 'final prototype' PCBoards and now they had time to assemble them, polish up the coding a bit, and installed one in their Nintendo Switch consoles and below we present to you the very first video of it booting up and working, along with the latest Tweets from their project team leader.

Mod chip works :)

I've tested a few configurations with rcm strapping, hardware auto RCM and software RCM. Easiest by far is software auto RCM and a easy 4 wire install. Oh no case bluge :)

Seeing Videos are just better, here you go :p

Nintendo Switch Mod Chip 4 wire install (just showing off without auto rcm) 3 Clicks and its off to OZ :)

Huge thanx to everyone involved in the Switch Scene!

Too funny all these comments, yeah no shit its late to the game because anyone can use pretty much any m0+ dev board.
Hell your FREE solution is to just use your computer or phone, just make sure you don't get a cable that will burn up the switch ;)
Ours will be cheaper and you don't need to remove a bunch of shit to fit it in the console.
There are plenty of way to inject payloads, if your choice is just using your computer/phone or using a tx dongle go ahead, if you want to use a trinket or gemma, over this board go ahead they all do the same thing...
We originally just made these for ourselves so we didn't have to keep plugging the switch in every time we wanted to test something.
trinkets are $9 + shipping which brings them to $15 usually.
very good job ;)

Competition is always good for the market so its nice to see another one :D

Also wtf is with this thread ...

Nope, look at the video - Guess what they were using (look at the bootlogo) :P
Hahah yeah I saw that but coming up with their own CFW would be the next logic step specially from that team.

Just found out they use AutoRCM. This is hilarious...
What? Then they would have to pay me to use this CRAP internal mod-chip, SCREW IT.

One of the main reasons of my interest 4 a modchip beside automatic payload injection is actually not ever have to use auto-RCM crap LOL...

You can fit an internal chip without autoRCM you know...

Yup, you can use a trinket M0, has much more capabilities, is cheaper, and is open source. You can't go wrong with that. :)

I'd say this: "If I had the skills, maybe I would buy it. However I don't, and installing it might cost a lot more. So i's probably better to buy a cable + router or a dongle."

I can't work out why they haven't put the extra straps on there.

It's only two pads from the qfn...

Yes we are cheaper than the trinket, and you can use this as a dev board as well. We have put extra pads on the bottom for various other projects.
As for "auto RCM" you have options, either strap line or software. There is no getting around that, so for you people complaining this is a trinket it IS a trinket (like any m0+ device) with all the useless trash removed and cheaper, as well as smaller and thinner to fit it in the switch better. The video I posted wasn't with auto rcm enabled hence me clicking the back 3 times. So for those of you looking for a cold boot into cfw without hardware or being tethered to a dongle/computer keep dreaming,
because you would need a full on cold boot sploit which doesnt exist at this current moment (and might never at this point)
I will have preorder pricing up on the site later today.

@evilsperm
Welcome to classic GBATemp.
One person starts the rumors and assumptions and the mill goes on.
They thought that this was AutoRCM. xD

As I told you in twitter, consider me a buyer.
My current trinket needs to be changed. There was no way I would fuck my heatsink, so to make it fit I created an abomination.

After you said this I checked the profile. Damn near EVERY post is him praising the yet to come out atmosphere, and bashing TX.

See for yourself guys.

What are they using? Atmosphere. Gave credit to them too.
What is TX using? Stolen Atmosphere code for piracy.

Without Atmosphere there would be no TX or Switchme. If you can't wrap your head around that, then there's little point in trying to make you understand why TX is such a dreadful option.

Have fun with your piracy tool.

Giving credit too, and dick sucking is not the same thing.:glare:

I guess the people in charge of Atmosphere are going to sue or take legal action? Until they do, or if they do not make anything bigger than it is then why should I care?

That's a fallacy. Just because something (debate-ably) wouldn't exist without something else does not make said something better, nor does it undermine the newer something surpassing the old. :teach:

I'll have fun with my "backup" tool. You have fun waiting and shilling for second best bud. :rofl2:

why I can't see the OP's post?
the thread starts with #2 post...
this happened multiple times:wtf:

I'm still gonna wait for TX upcoming modchip as I'm expecting it to be fully designed exclusively for switch and I'm also hopping for some extra stuff in it from TX.

But awesome would be a modchip that would fit into the nand port and that we would put the nand above it or something, that would be the most awesome thing beside something like Gateway a game flashcard that would lead to emunand+mSD for even more storage, now that would be top killing ;).

I can't imagine any hacker group, especially TX, to come up with a modship that does something else than a trinket m0.

Can you link the page where they will be sold? Is there going to be a discount for installers buying bulk?
