PROJECT STATUS NEWS UPDATE: July 17th - Team REBUG has gotten their Switch Modchip Up and Running Perfectly! :)
    SwitchMeUp-Installed.

The last update we had from Team REBUG on their project status was back on July 4th, that they got in the 'final prototype' PCBoards and now they had time to assemble them, polish up the coding a bit, and installed one in their Nintendo Switch consoles and below we present to you the very first video of it booting up and working, along with the latest Tweets from their project team leader.

I think they saw the SD slot (which is just the switches already existing port.) And thought it part of the chip. The chip definitely has no msd slot I can see.

A bit late we already had 4 wire trinket install for a while now.

unless it is cheaper than trinket, sure it can be useful.

I seriously doubt they would bother with all this to release a £10 product.

Tbh, I was hoping for more development to be done towards ease of installation rather than just redesigning a trinket.

So It's just a internal Trinket install with a different SAMD?
    Uhm.. alright?
I Would've really liked to see the testpads they soldered to.

So what exactly does this modchip do? Coldboot into CFW? Allow CFW loading on FW5.0+ and bootrom patched Switches?

Rather late to the party I must say.

Why bother? 4 wire install? Auto RCM? Where have I seen that before...

Very easy to fit. Good design. If you don`t fancy removing USB port on an Adafruit / Arduino zero, this is the way to go.

Just found out they use AutoRCM. This is hilarious.
    They probably use
    K2
    K3
    Power from L1
    Any Groundpoint

Still unsure how they sense CPU_Reset tho.

I tend to avoid anything that involves opening the Switch.
Sadly another cool tweak to contemplate...
