Ive had no problems installing any nsp files but these two games just will not install. They both freeze devmenu at the Prepare Installing screen. Any ideas?

they are pretty big games
you might need to be patient, especially if youre installing to SD card

you have to wait, it will start

I appreciate your suggestion, but I dont think thats the issue. My switch has been stuck on the Prepare Installing screen since you posted.

Also I downloaded them myself using CDNSP. These are the only games I've downloaded that wont install.

Try installing to internal memory. That’s how I got a few of my games to install that wouldn’t install to my SX or we’re installing too slow

Had an issue similarly. Realized when downloading from CDNSP, you need to provide the titlekey or else it wont work

Will you elaborate on this? It doesn't use the title key until generation of the ticket. So if you used -g with no title key, it should just get the encrypted files.
Obviously if you don't -r (repack) with a title key then it will not work. There should be no difference downloading without a titlekey, just with repacking.

I'm using a gui that provides title keys. Every game Ive downloaded works, just not the two mentioned in my OP. When I try to install them my Switch completely freezes. I'm going to try installing them to the built in storage tomorrow, but thats not a great solution because I'm going to run out of that storage and future games may give me the same issues.

if you provide the title key, it gets the cert and ticket from the actual Nintendo server. However, if you don't provide it, it will just create a dud cert and ticket which causes it to fail on install

Yes, which is what I had said, only in a different way. If you don't run it with the command -r (repack) then it just downloads the files, no ticket or cert generation.
As I was saying, you have to provide the titlekey when running -r to generate a valid ticket.

wait, are you getting frozen on "prepare to install"? Oh that's funny, you just have to let the command prompt finish it's cleanup and repacking. Those games are huge and take 5+ mins just to clean up. You'll know it's done when the command prompt is back to your cd directory and you only have a .nsp file in the _nspout folder
