I wouldn't guarantee anything to anyone about being safe and keep from getting banned. Kind of irresponsible imo telling people they will be perfectly safe when that's still pretty unknown. It seems to be safer, but I wouldn't say there's any guarantees.
No agreed that’s very true I cannot guarantee anything but I would be absolutely gob smacked if someone came forward and received a ban from using a larger header than the title online gaming in fact I would want proof because I would not believe them. I probably wouldn’t get the real truth because anyone can show an img of a large header injected in their title and show all imgs. I have used my Zelda certificate on all my tested card 1 titles so far and mine is all ok I have even downloaded my updates on the cfw as well the only title I have not tested online for reasons is card 2 titles like Mario tennis. It was also mentioned in the 3ds injecting headers scene using cheap micro sd card, rip offs badly made etc.. was flagging a ban this was also an issue! Everyone was using H2testw on there MSD cards to test it’s ok.

I haven't done a ton with 3DS CFW, only when it was extremely easy to do. I use Samsung Evo Micro Sd's so I'm assuming i'll be ok? Also when it comes to using a large header, it has to be larger correct not just close? I was thinking of getting skyrim but that's a little bit bigger than zelda so I'm guessing injecting zelda would be a bad idea? Just keeping tabs on all the things I should do. Still have a week or so before I'll get my SX in.
He has no evidence to support his claims. He's using the 3DS as an example but that implies the Switch uses the same detection as the 3DS which SciresM has already demonstrated thoroughly its not. Also, if Reecey claims that SciresM is lying because people have not been banned yet for injecting foreign certificates/headers, its because bans are not always applied immediately. They can be done randomly for example.

Yeah, I understand this. Just thinking I'll still take the same precautions that would have been used in 3DS CFW incase it's similar. While I do expect I will probably get banned, it seems to be a lot more delayed in getting banned than some of the other things people are reporting. Or maybe i'll get banned in 5min. I'm not really that worried about it, but I'll still take a few precautions.
Well, as long as he's not banned with his method we can assume it's probably the safest way of playing online at the moment (which doesn't mean it won't get you banned in the future)
To remember :
It's injecting the title of one of the biggest game there are (something around 16Go games like Zelda) on xci games. Your xci shouldn't be bigger than your original game. Might also be best to avoid playing a lot of different games with the same header in a short time.
Again, it doesn't mean you will NEVER get banned, but at least you shouldn't be for like 3-4 days (then again, if you ever used LayeredFS, you're done anyway :-p)
Edit : I noticed Nightstorm wrote on his report that he played Aces with his 1 2 switch header, might be what triggered the ban.

As long as x0x0 is not banned, I'll have faith in this little trick. I would try myself but SX PRO still hasn't arrived. Looks like those who injected bigger XCIs' headers still have to be banned, I'm curious whether it will ever happen.

It is not. I did this on a Fresh Console to veryfy. New out of the Box. No Homebrew. No Other CFW than SX OS.
Took my Cert from Skyrim. Put it on Splat 2 and Aces. Updated Splat 2 and Aces and
Could play for around 3 Days. Then first a Cert Ban for the Games (No Ingame Online but eShop still works) and 12 Hours later a console ban. (No more eShop)
Did this to veryfy that my first Ban was not related to Homebrew.
They can detect that shit. And will ban you for it.
Do not insert Certs from other Games! Stay offline in SX OS to Avoid Bans!
