Like I said, they ban in waves
No on case by case basis
I don't think so. When they banned shiny quagsire they were clearly looking for him. He got 2 switch banned at the same time right. The people posting porn pic in odyssey(i'm just speculating here) we're probably hunted down by nintendo because some things are more obvious than others.I might be wrong but case by case can always be a thing

Also just a point the 3ds header situation might be very similar from back in the day> you had to use a different size header for different size roms to inject into so for example if your rom was 2GB you had to use a header from a 2GB title or more to inject so in the switch case I would use a "certificate" from a big size title such as zelda which is 14.8GB's in size to compensate on size to inject in to your rom, if you use a header from a small title like minecraft 768MB in size and inject it into a big title like Zelda it wont match up, trust me bigger title certificate the better! I'm not saying this is concrete but the theory stacks up from the 3ds scene.

The first wave was way too accurate especially when you had sciresm to the mix. Only hackers got hit. And they decided to take out both his switch(that was defenitely no random btw) just to make sure. A lot more people we're already using homebrew back then why was the first wave only two known hackers from the community?

Yes because they were the first people using CDN downloaders and whatnot. A lot of peopel who did illegal account sharing got banned as well

Stop trying to convince yourself that you won't get banned

When I extracted myZelda cert it is in a .bin file, but in XCI Explorer, it asks for a .dat file when I want to inject. How do I convert it?

I think you might be right. But I was basically playing 5 different online games in the same hour with the same cert. I'm not saying I was trying to get banned but I was really pushing it. My case might be kinda irrelevant

From your post, you ran SX OS 1.0 online. SX OS 1.0 doesn't use the cert from the xci file so this is more than likely what caused your ban.

No, because CARD2. It can be a catch.
That's smart to not try any Card2 games yet, I would guess those would easily be detectable without a Card2 cert.
