So everything seems to perform well. Sound is choppy in every game I play. Do saves work?? Haven't gotten far enough into a game yet to.find out

I tested Pokemon Emerald and Fire Red on 4.1 and they both ran great, although I tried saving in both of these games and no save files were created (when I exited and reopened the app it prompted me to start a new game), do saves not work yet?

Thanks a ton for porting this over. I too have scratchy sound in all the 6 roms i tested. Curious, the screen size seems smaller than GDKgba - is there any way to increase it to be near the size of the switch's screen?
Thanks for this port ...Can you add bilinear filter ??
Only integer scaling is currently supported, because it's the easiest to implement. I might add bilinear filtering in the future, but currently I have no plans to implement it

Saves should work(I even tested them with Pokemon Emerald), if you exit the emulator properly(press X to pause it and then X to exit to the hb menu)

Nope apparently not. Tested in game save as well with Pokemon Glazed romhack and no luck.

If your using my SDL2 port you can do hardware bilinear scaling by setting SDL2 fullscreen (https://github.com/devkitPro/SDL/blob/switch-sdl2/test/testswitch.c#L41) and adding margins if needed to respect ratio.
And please, again, add your port to switchbrew :)

Yep, you're right, my bad, I was just hitting the home button to exit, I didn't realize there was a menu that could be opened by the X button, everything's working now

I have a save on the other gba emulator, how do I transport that save to this emualtor?
MINI TUTORIAL: Move save files from gdkGBA to Vba

Just rename the savefile. You have to remove the .gba
example: 0907 - Pokemon Ruby (U)(Mugs).gba.sav (gdkGBA) to 0907 - Pokemon Ruby (U)(Mugs).sav (Vba)
I just tried it an it worked. Hope it helps you too.

Whoa, I just randomly defined the save-format in gdkGBA without ever checking how other emulators do that :O

I did not expect this to work.

Am I the only one here who thinks its silly we have two ported GBA emulators in development? Wouldn't it be smart to combine efforts to improve in one? Just seems logical

VBA is the more well rounded and best supported emulator for Gameboy there is. It's the optimal choice in this situation.
