Also wanted to note the difference the difference between a channel (.wad) and a fowarder. A channel will enable you to run it even without the USB Loader GX app on your SD Card, but it does not have the cool splash screen while you wait and it's not faster (barely though, so I've heard). The fowarder has all that but it needs your SD card to work, meaning no sd card = no USB Loader GX. If you have time and memory to waste, then you might want to download both just in case =P

Hope I helped ^^

P.S. fowarder is smaller =)

ok
If I understand
if i install the forwarder only
it go to my sd card "apps\usbloader_gx"
and open the "usbloader_gx" from my sd
I don't care to work from the SD
As long as I'm not wasting my time loading speed !
And it is easily accessible from the WII channel menu

Or I may be wrong

Forwarder = A Wii channel that loads the app(boot.dol) straight off the SD/USB, saves space as its alot smaller than a standard channel but can still vary in size

Channel = A Wii channel that loads the app from the Wii(NAND), larger than a Forwarder once installed but size depends on the app

Hybrid = A Wii channel that will first try to load the App from SD/USB, but will load the internal App if the one on SD/USB isn't found (Normal forwarder would just return to the Wii menu)

in both cases you will have a nice channel on the Wii Menu, a Forwarder speed can be faster at loading than channels but still varies on the app being loaded

You can't have read the thread. What you're asking was already explained in the first few posts in 2010. Install the forwarder, put the loader's dol on SD or USB in the folder I mentioned. Done.

All they're talking about is Forwarders, Channels and Hybrids and the only helpful thing is the download link for the .dol file. I don't see any instructions apart from gpspocket asking if what they're doing is right. Plus the boot.dol isn't a folder so I'm assuming you're saying to replace it. What I'm asking ISN'T explained at all, how about you read the thread again because you apparently think that's there are instructions in this thread. And don't bother replying because I'm not gonna reply again.

Yes, that's all they talked about was the forwarder. That's the only option for loading USB Loader GX from a channel now. The full channel is no longer available. The second post tells you where to get the forwarder wad. I told you where to put the dol file for the loader after you install the forwarder.

I'd tell you to enjoy but you said you weren't going to read this.

Perhaps if you had bothered reading the pinned USB Loader GX thread in this very subforum instead of resurrecting an 8-year old thread you wouldn't be so confounded.
