True Blue lasted just over a year before something better came along. -- Funny how people always claim i made money on it, when i was never part of it, only ran the support forum and bandwidth costs outrun the tiny amount of ad money, so infact out of pocket. -- and I am admin of over 250 sites, of which 90% I host and maintain for free, eating all costs, so how that making a quick buck. -- really no one has clue on how the true scene works or why. :)
Of course not...

Nah, that's just Anbox. Technically someone could port an Android userland on top of our kernel, but we didn't bother.
Android on a switch is such a waste of time in my opinion. Time spent on that could be spent on developing some actual Homebrew and stuff

Just my opinion

i was just thinking about citra too..hope someone can test it tho
Citra is x86/x64 only so that won't happen for a long time and even if it would be very slow.
Since Horizon OS (the Switch OS) is built on the 3DS OS it's more likely that someone will come up with a nice homebrew to launch 3DS games more or less natively on the Switch eventually.

I hoping Ninty will release 3DS games officially eventually, then we can all get our injection on ;)

Cool, but your opinion really doesn't matter FYI.

Android has some really great games that I would love to play on the switch. I am really hoping that we get Android! I'm a big fan of Asphalt 8 and would love to be able to play it on the switch rather than my phone or Shield TV. Would also like to be able to remote play games from PC!

Holy shit!! @ShadowOne333 Another by Shiny Quagsire.. This time Pcsxr :D

Holy shit dude!
Dolphin runs way better than I expected it to!
20~ fps is not bad at all, perhaps with proper optimization in a port to it and/or some speedhacks we could reach playable speeds for sure.

And PCSX runs... ;) Delightful, same for Mupen64 I'd assume.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
