I tried it again and waited a good two or three minutes. Still nothing. Do you think it has anything to do with SD folder structures, etc? My Wii U version is 5.5.2 as well.
I don't know. Try creating a folder named "backups" in your wiiu folder. I can't remember if I had to do that, but it's worth a try.

Okay, I did that and went through the whole process again. Still nothing. ;__; I feel like I'm missing some crucial step. But thank you for trying to help me out!

Well, you did run Haxchi first, yes? It says that it is untested on standard Haxchi, and looks like this person has had a similar issue. Do you get the brick warning, or does it go straight to a black screen? And do you have any External Wii U-Formatted USB-Connected Storage Devices?

Yes, I ran the standard, non cold booted Haxchi. And no, I don't have any external USB devices for the Wii U. I haven't even gotten a warning or anything like that, just the black screen. I think I might try checking my SD card to see if there's something wrong there, but yeah, I have no idea.

Hmm, interesting, most interesting. You should create an issue on GitHub.

Is there a way to transfer a Dolphin save file to the Wii U using SaveMii? Has anyone ever managed that?

While transfering my GC saves to Wii U and using them with Nintendont was fairly easy, I imagine this will be a tad more difficult. I have a ton of RE4 Wii Edition saves I didn't want to lose.

I doubt it, since SaveMii is a Wii U mode app. You could probably do it with a Wii Save Manager, though.

Problem: Black Screen after Boot screen and warning
Specs: 5.5.1 , Haxchi

The first time i started save mii everything worked fine. i copied a savegame from nand to the connected usb-drive. Tested the savegmae - worked finde. But simce then, when im starting save mii i got the black screen with connected HD. Without the HD save mii starts and workes. With hd connected it stays black - waited 5 minutes.

use SaveGame Manager GX Beta R76.

I'm experiencing the blank screen now too. It worked the first couple times after I transferred some saves to some game, but now it just gets the blank screen. I tried deleting everything out of the backups folder, but I get the same result. It loads without my hard drive plugged in, but not when it's plugged in.

Would I be able to transfer Wii game saves (on my Wii U) back to my Wii with this? If I could, would anyone be so kind as to give me some pointers on how to go about this? Thanks! I'm assuming I would extract/backup them with this program, and then move them and inject them using SaveGame Manager GX (on the Wii), but I am not sure about filepaths and such. Thanks for the help.

So I'm using the version on WiiU App Store (homebrew), I believe it's the old one. I tested with BOTW and works great for backup, but poor dor restore. I made a backup with all save slots (6) and after I wipe the save ad started a new one. With only 2 slots, I tried to restore my old backup, but SaveMii couldn't create the adicional 4 slots and the others files... it can only replace the files, not create new ones.

Anyone knows if it happens on the SaveMii Mod?

Is it possible to import the dumped save with Dolphin?
Edit: I see that it's very easy. New question: Is it possible to delete my post?

I created a channel forwarder for SaveMii Mod that loads SaveMii from your Wii U menu if anyone is interested.
Must have haxchi installed or available on your SD card, and a Nintendo DS game (CFW or legit) installed on your System memory that you wii install the program into
Instructions:
1. Download the file "savemii mod (haxchi).7z" and extract the folder content (it will have 5 files in it)
2. Insert your SD card into your computer and open it up
3. on the root of your SD card, open the haxchi folder and delete the content or back it up to your computer.
4. Put the 5 files from the downloaded "savemii mod (haxchi).7z" folder, into the haxchi folder on your SD card
5. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A DS GAME THAT YOU DON'T MIND OVERWRITING INSTALLED ON YOUR SYSTEM NAND THAT IS DIFFERENT THAN THE GAME YOU INSTALLED HAXCHI OR ANY OTHER CHANNEL FORWARDER TOO!!!! if you don't, install one (can be downloaded or legit) through WUP installer
6. Insert your SD card to your Wii U, start up your system, and start homebrew launcher
7. Start haxchi installer and select the DS game you wish to install into.
8. Make sure you are running CFW before selecting the icon.

if you run into problems, go to your SD card and make sure your folder structure looks like this for savemii:
sd:wiiu/apps/savemii_mod/savemii_mod.elf
