Hacking PS3 packages wont install

I installed the new exploit on my PS3 Slim, and I tried installing a package, where I get an error. I then tried to install a cfw where everytime I tried installing it, it said that its corrupted. I even tried it in recovery mode. Any help?

would be helpful if you had the error code. pkg files have a sha-1 at the bottom of the file. if it's not correct, the system will say the pkg is corrupted.

Are you trying to instal DEX pkg on CEX (retail machine?)

Edit where you getting the PKGs from? Seems to me the PKG isnt signed or something.

Bet its a legit PKG from legit sony servers.

Edit: re reading you are couldnt install cfw, so yeh without a properly signed pkg or a cfw to run fakesigned pkgs: they wont run.

What firmware are you on, and what CFW re you trying to install?

Which tutorial are you following as 3k slims work for dumping but not writing afaik.

But then im not too up on PS3 hacking right now.

Then I suggest you read up and figure out if a slim 3k can even install cfw....

... back when I hacked mine (3.55 dayz) anything that had 3.56 lowest fw allowed via minvercheck was not hackable.

I know there was a method for injecting the hdd with games, thats about all.

Considering you said "none lol" to which tutorial you followed.

Anyway read that latest info and see what CAN be done with your 3k.

Doesnt look like its able to install CFW, so no wonder it wouldnt instal.

Dude, exploits on superslims and later Slims models are different than previous versions, in a way you can't install CFW (AFAIK). Read the PSX-Scene tutorial about Xploit 3.0. And as a personal recommendation: read everything before trying to install anything instead of forcing pkgs into your console without knowing if it can actually run them.
