youtube or twitch?So I've been thinking about making an English live stream "playing" with this game now that I can again

I didn't mean like a playthrough, but more like a "hackthorugh", doing a round from the low level mechanics all the way up to visible in-game modifications. If you want a patch it can be done afterwards based on that.
Still, it would be mostly aimed to people curious about how mods are made.

Just release the unfinished patch. I'm pretty sure most people would be fine with just menu's on this one, real head's now the core of this game is skill in combat. F*** the story, it's not a tales game(I'm waiting on those as well but it might be faster to just learn japanese

Saying you downgraded to the psp is somewhat an insult to the console also it's not up to you to decide how much is or isn't done.
Hey guys. It's been a rough couple years. I haven't forgot about this (and other translation projects). I should be getting a laptop soon (old one is smashed). Hopefully this will see the light of day.

Probably they didn't even do anything to start with, there was never any screenshots, there probably was like just a machine translation of the script in a .txt file and thats it, they like gave up in the time to put it inside the game.
This just served as a lesson to not follow ghost projects, a 1-100% filling up bar in some basic website just creates false expectations that leads to dissapointment.

SkyBladeCloud didn't translate the game as he was just porting the official scripts from the localized GE2RB.
As for the alleged English Patch of GE2, if SkyBladeCloud says it exists then there's no doubt it exists.

Have you started the stream yet? Since the patch will be made afterwords that would give people some insight in terms of wait time. Do you have a PayPal, I could get you a coffee or something to keep you motivated lol.
Funny that you mention it, as just yesterday I got caught red handed doing one streaming test on YouTube for this. I thought I could be fast enough to do it and delete the video before any subscriber noticed... But they noticed anyway hahaha

So I did around 7 hours of live streaming anyway today (just finished now), and I can confirm it was a waste of time. During the stream I decoded the file system, the compression algorithm, and a couple of the text encodings; effectively extracting images, sound and text in editable formats. This stream represents about 35% - 40% of the whole project, meaning that in two more days the entire thing could be done. What would be left is adding support for the rest of text formats, and reverting the whole thing.
However, I say it was a waste of time because the was no audience: at no point there was more than a single spectator online at the same time, and I even lost subscribers and twitter followers during the stream! XD
Given the absolute lack of interest, please consider me, once again, out of the project.

No interest? This game translation has been slog for how many years already? At best, the ones that are waiting for the patch check this forum thread once a week.
Those people probably don't sit on your twitter/tube/twitch/whatever. I know I don't. I don't even use twitter. Same with many others...
So the interest is there, but not at point where you will get 500000 viewers on whatever...
With this post you came off as one of biggest tools on the scene. With the "No views = no patch" thing...
