I have been trying to transfer all my games over FTP to my HDD on my PS3 today, but at random points during this it keeps shutting itself off and starting itself again.

I checked the Power-Saving settings, but it was all deactivated.
I checked temps, but it wasnt even close to over-heating at any point.

I used Rebug 4.82, but changed to the newest Ferrox.
It happened on both.

The only plugin i have installed is sMan.

i even turned the pots on the psu.

Anyone any idea whats going on here?

If its a CECH-2004 check if you have a APS-250 PSU, they are known to be faulty sometimes. No doubt its possible to tweak potis on these units but it doesn't help for long because the real issue isn't fixed.
Still unknown whats causing it.

Solution would be to replace the PSU

Have now installed a new hard drive, but the problems persist. Does anyone have any advice?
Changed psu. Still the same thing.

Its a 2504A.
