I received XC2 early (yesterday) and it's spectacular, you will not be disappointed if you're a fan of XC1.
Very nice some people are streaming on youtube, was checking the local shop y'day and they did not carry it sometimes they stock it when it comes in but not y'day it seems.

Envy, too much envy. Damn Amazon still didn't even gave mine to the courier company.
Mine not made it to the post office either. still it seems not to bad to wait a couple of days ...

Final Rare Blade revealed, and it's a really cool callback.

No idea what the text says, no idea what the video says (I have no audio right now)... but what the hell is KOS-MOS doing there?
Namco called and said they wanted their IPs back.
It's quite literally her, it's on purpose.

I don't know if this Rare Blade comes with the game already per-se, or if it is part of a DLC, but my wallet is ready. (hell I'm easy)
It does, they haven't revealed anything DLC related yet. Although it's probably a very late game Blade, if I had to guess.

I would be happy if Namco used this opportunity to release some Xenosaga collection HD for the Switch, an easy cash-in riding on Xenoblade, my wallet is ready as I said (and I like to daydream).

PS: Certainly not attached to SONY, they released 1+2 on the DS, just not in the west.

Gonna buy this game, but never played xenoblade, will a new world open for me?
Well, first of all, I would highly suggest playing at least the original game, it's fairly easy to get on the WiiU VC or 3DS. It's not in any way related to the new game, but it's still a great experience.
But I hope you enjoy 2 as a standalone regardless.

My review should be live later today if you want some insight from somebody who's been playing it for nine days already.

GBATemp's review? Without spoilers? Please post a link on this thread when it is ready so we get a notification (laziness...)
Yes on all accounts! I'll drop a link when it goes up.

The review embargo is lifted and it is getting very good scores. The lower scores seem to be from people who have problems with some typical jrpg elements.
I can't wait to get my copy tomorrow! :yayswitch:

I wanted to complete Xenoblade X before my copy of 2 arrived, but that won't be possible.
I need to sleep. And then work, and when I come back sure X2 has arrived, and then I will want to play it. And X will be forgotten. Damn.
Well, what can I say, the pinnacle of first world problems.

I got the collectors editor for XC1 and XCX, but I think this time I'll pass.
it's always nice to have a collector edition, but I never "use" it (read the artbook/listen to CD) and don't particularly like metal boxes (it's breaking the aligned box size's on the shelf).
XC1 it was more for the controller, and XCX because I didn't had the choice :P

if XC2 had the controller bundled with the collector edition I think I would have bought that one.
not sure if the classic controller is really needed for that game.

I'll buy the console in today, I hope they will have Xeno too.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
