any chance you could add support for injecting into other games besides rhythm heaven fever (eg xenoblade chronicles for larger dual layer games)?

So.. wich option on the program should i enable to use the gamepad as a controller on game cube games?

It works by default.

I don't think that's required. I created Smash Brawl earlier and ended up with a 6.95GB installer, yet to install and test however.

Anyone know how to make a custom Nintendont Autoboot Forwader? There are some games that work better with widecreen codes rather than the built-in Nintendont widescreen hack, like Sonic Adventure DX.
You have to install devkitppc I think. Then you can compile FIX94 source of the autobooter. Make sure you have the latest devkit installed, I had some trouble with an old version. The line in the code is quite easy to find. There is a line thats commented out, dou have to force Widescreen off and WiiUWidescreen on, then the Image is streched to 16:9 but no patches are applied. Compile your version and use it with the injector.

I put through The Last Story NTSC-U (7.9GB) and ended up with 4.9GB? I haven't tried running it yet but I feel skeptical.

First of all thank you for the injector program, it's awesome. I have to stick to .NET framework 4.5.2 on my system but everything seems to be fully functional for building both Gamecube and Wii games, are there any issues I'm likely to encounter?

I'm currently building and installing my entire Gamecube and Wii (gamepad playable only) library. Personally I'm only interested in Wii off-tv gamepad playable games, I prefer using Dolphin otherwise.

Gamecube games are simple enough, all games work on the gamepad and we can check the Nintendont compatiblity list to force 4:3 on games that have widescreen hack issues (or games that we just prefer in 4:3) and default settings take care of everything else.

However for Wii games it would be useful if we could start updating the Wii inject compatibility list especially with recommended settings for gamepad play, at the moment it seems pretty barebones and out of date. I've got a lot of games to go through and I've had to test and rebuild the first few already with the Force Classic Controller patch due to issues, it's really time consuming so it would save a lot of people time if they had a good resource for this information. There's other good information that could be added too like a list of non-native Classic Controller support games and settings/cheats we can use to get them working well on the Gamepad (like DKCR), also notes for games that benefit from Swap L & R with ZL & ZR (Mario Kart Wii for example).

How do we get access to edit the wiki? This is the correct one I assume? https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/WiiU_VC_Wii_inject_compatibility_list

A couple of findings so far:

A Boy and His Blob (EUR) - Gamepad play requires Force Classic Controller Connected or cannot progress into game.
Super Mario All-Stars (US) - Gamepad play requires Force Classic Controller Connected or controller seems to be detected as Wiimote and thus controls on gamepad are messed up.

Yes, you can create installable Gamecube titles that can be played on the gamepad.

Yes you can install to your external usb drive. There are no controller issues with Gamecube games as far as I know apart from not having analogue triggers obviously.

Not sure what your issue is from the info you've provided. For Gamecube games you can pretty much go with default settings in the injector. Use full 1.35GB isos (rename extension to .gcm) rather than trimmed games as I've heard those can cause issues. You can use the 'Nintendont SD Card Menu to create a nincfg.bin (global Nintendont config file). I use the following settings: WiiU Widescreen, Memcard Emulation, Audo Video Width, Force Widescreen, Force Progressive, Unlock Read Speed, Memcard Blocks: 251, Video Mode: Auto. Once you've selected those settings choose your SD card (delete existing nincfg.bin on your SD root just in case) and choose to generate config file and check that your newly generated nincfg.bin is on the root of your SD.

The tab for the 2nd disc is only for Gamecube games. wbf1 files are detected automatically, just make sure they have the same filename and are in the same directory.

Thanks for your reply. I will try what you have suggested. The iso's i've used have been the full iso's (I've only tried SM sunshine & double dash so far). Both just end up resetting my wiiu back to system menu. Come to think of it, I use rednand & Mocha autobooted with haxchi. Could this be the problem?

Do you just change the extension from .iso to .gcm? What GC titles have you had success with?

Nintendont forwarder + 720p in settings = problem with fonts
480p and 1080p no problem

Ok, thanks. Can you help me with another problem?... I installed many wii games and works normally but the game wii play motion doesnt work, i get an error 160-4792 when i try to launch it

I've only installed a few Wii games so far so I'm not sure what causes that. It looks like someone else had the same error with that game earlier in the thread so check with them.

The injector trims Wii games by default, I have a trimmed The Last Story PAL and it's 5.05GB so 4.9GB sounds correct. The 7.9GB file is the full iso.

I'm not familiar with emunand on Wii U so I can't answer that, I use CBHC sysnand.

I'm actually not even sure if changing the extension from .iso to .gcm is necessary with the current injector, it might have been necessary for the old script which I never used. It doesn't hurt to do so anyway. All of my GC titles are working so far and that includes Mario Kart Double Dash (NTSC). You do have the latest build of Nintendont on your SD card right? It should be added to: SD root > apps > Nintendont

OK will try soon. Thanks!

Hello, thanks for this amazing tool!. Im having a problem with the game wii play motion, it install normally but when i try to launch the game i get a error 160-4792, please help me.

Everytime I try to use the WUP installer from the file created by the file I have the Instal Error: 0xFFFBF442. Verify title.tik and WUP files are correct & complete.

Any ideas on what can I do, or what programs are needed to fix this?

So after testing it, I've decided to share the custom nintendont-autoboot-forwader I've compiled. This ignores the force wide-screen option, but not the Wii U wide-screen option. It basically stretches your GC injects. This allows you to use wide-screen codes instead of the built in wide-screen hack. This works better for a couple of games such as Sonic Adventure DX.
Credit to FIX94 for the source code and sabykos for the help.

The Wii VCs doesn't work with rednand, you have to use sysnand.

if you are wondering why there hasnt been an update to my wii64 version with gamepad support in a while, beta 1.2 finally was put on github so I ported the stuff over to that, I will probably do more stuff to that version for now.

Sure. Give us more options. Now I'm stuck wondering if I should use that or your mupen64gc port? Did you update Wii64 for better compatibility reasons or for people whining reasons? Also, thanks!

Type %appdata% in File Explorer. Press 'AppData' on the File Explorer's directory bar and go into Local/Temp/WiiVCInjector and delete the SOURCETEMP folder. This should fix the issue like it did for me.
i can still reopen it tho and it fixes it
