well hot damn, i edited this as well , how should i put it, i will just keep my switch updated and i will buy only the games i really want.
should be fine that way, but i would defintely get jealous if i saw some homebrew that allows you to use custom themes/wallpapers and some sort of browser /video players etc.

So it was said that Splatoon 2 came with fw 2.3.0 but did you have to update in order to figure that out or does it tell you. Reason I'm saying this is because I'm planning to pre-order Xenoverse 2 (on Amazon to get that sweet 20% off deal) and I will update depending if it's not requiring me to be on 3.0.1.

might pick up a used tablet-only switch. already have several sets of joycon. If the bought console comes with 3.0 or lower I'll set that in a closet, else my current switch will. When the time comes I'll probably sell off one or gift it.

I'd rather spite Nintendo through older games and emulators, to show them how badly they've handled the VC in the past, it's cathartic in a way. Emulators do what nintendont.

Most people don't buy it planning for piracy. They just hope it comes around later so they don't have to pay for everything, especially games they are on the fence about. There have been numerous times I've pirated a game because I was unsure and actually went back and paid for it later because I enjoyed it. Did it for undertale and hacknet. It's also nice to be able to buy the physical copy of games but then install a digital version. That way we have the collectible physical copy and don't have to carry every game we have when we leave the house.
Not saying it's good or moral, but just wanted to say most people don't buy a system just for piracy (at least not before it's been hacked for piracy)
