So @d3m3vilurr managed to get this to work with a 3ds! So our theory can now be used guys! I just tested it and luma is now running on my 3ds! Go over to his GitHub and check it out! I also posted about this in the official ntrboot thread too.

so this is now fixed and i can use my old 2ds to make a ntrboot flashcard now?

Though, from the disclaimers everywhere, do be careful not to brick.
I don't have my card yet but i have ordered it i think i will buy an extra one... brick as in the card or the ds?

alrighty so maybe I'm doing something wrong but after trying to follow the 3ds guide and reading the information here it looks like rileysrjay is/was having the same issue as I'm running into. I keep getting hardware versions but nothing actually "injects" I used the NTRBoot hax that was updated 4 days ago (2.2), and also the one before it (2.1) that was updated a week and some change ago (today's date 8/21/17) has there been an update to show progress on NDSL (I assume this stands for Nintendo DS Lite). I'm using R4i SDHC. Please let me know if I've damaged something or am just not getting it right and need to slow down or something
