I thought it was mostly old content too, but watch the video above for clarification. It's mostly remixed and original levels/content, and they seemingly nailed the design.

it might have upgraded grapich but stil look like an 20+ plus game, and yes havent played those games as i dont wanna pay for such games when i can just play these kind of games on a emulator for free

Maybe if somebody made a godlike romhack, yeah. But my guess is most Sonic romhacks are just hentai of some sort.

Alright... Mania is NOT an old game. It's NEW, WITH IMPROVED BUT STILL RETRO-FEELING graphics. It WASN'T made specifically for nostalgia. What @StarGazerTom meant was that you can't get the same experience with OTHER Sonic games that you can play in emulators as you can with THIS one. Just fucking buy the game or don't. It's your decision.

Right, like... sonic 1 and 2 were okay. I grew up with them, and they were 'decent'. Anything new in this version? Or anything, I guess... "Special"?

Decent? lol.

Sonic 1 was pretty good, Sonic 2 was amazing, imo. I never got to fully play Sonic 3&K but from what I read it's just as good as Sonic 2 (my fave).

I played Sonic Mania on January 2017 and I loved it although I'm gonna be patient and see if SEGA or any other publisher will release a physical version of the game (maybe Nicalis could).
