I put the legacy build on my 3ds, then I was sent to the luma screen on boot up, and I was told to select "show nand or user string in system settings" and I booted up the 3ds. I went into freeshop and pressed start and my 3ds freezed and took me back to the home screen saying an error occurred and I have to restart the system. Is this normal and what do I do?

Try deleting the freeshop folder from /3ds/data/ and reinstalling freeshop from FBI TitleDB (update FBI first by pressing update in the FBI main menu)

Do I still need luma legacy if i reinstall it? If not, how to update to the latest luma?

If it starts working you can try to update with Luma Updater

You should test your sd card with h2testw after formatting to check it for errors

Fixed it. Copied the contents of my sd card to a pc, formatted my sd card and copied everything back. Working fine

Okay so after a previous problem with my corrupted 64gb sd card while I was on Luma CFW v6.6 (also my system was accidentally updated to 11.5), I finally got a new SD card. But now I don't even know where to start from here, all of my fbi,a9lh,homebrew,etc. files are gone. I couldn't even back up anything from my previous card which just goes to show how corrupted it was. From my understanding I think I'm still on CFW because holding select upon boot brings me to the Luma3DS v6.6 configuration menu, but that's about it. Can anyone tell me what i'm suppose to do to get Fbi, Freeshop,Homebrew and all of that stuff back? Is there anything I can do or am I screwed?

The new one. You can uninstall the old one.

The old one is the FBI which is a replacement for the 3DS app that comes with your 3DS. I think it's called safety management I think. Do I just leave it there?
