With the upcoming release of HiyaCFW(https://github.com/shutterbug2000/hiyaCFW) aswell as a DSiware exploit for DSi browser or Flipnote Studio, I think there's enough activity now to justify a DSi section on the forums. I believe this has been discussed in the past, but I couldn't find the discussion, so I made a new one.

Thanks!

Meh, I don't know. That'd be like having a "New 3DS" forum. There's simply not enough going on on the TWL side of things for a whole new forum honestly, even with RocketLauncher and HiyaCFW.
dsi is very deserving of it's own forum, it's not like exploits are interchangable between the two. The dsi scene has really sparked lately, and that alone I think is good enough reason to justify a new or subforum.

How about a compromise: a subsection of the DS area related to only DSi threads? Not like the DS section has much traffic as it is these days though.

Or perhaps add a tag that users can use to specify DSi threads?

A tag would be a better idea, an entire sub section not so much. As interesting and great as these DSi hacks are, there simply won't be remotely enough interest in creating an entire section for it.

If we suddenly get an influx of 200+ threads in the DS section and it's cluttering that section and getting out of hand, sure. The 5-10 that are likely to be there? Nah.

I agree. There should be at least a subforum, with everything organized.

May I also add, that anything DSi-related would very easily fit into Nintendo DS, because they are technically in the same console era. Just that the Nintendo DSi has a slightly improved SoC (System on Chip), to use a few more instructions than what the SoC in the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite used.

Imo, there is no need to create a sub-section for Nintendo DSi. I'd say labels would make it more easier for anyone to find anything DSi-related. Now there should be some function that can be enabled for the Nintendo DS section in where labels can be added next to the thread title, so that users can hide all threads apart from threads with the "Nintendo DSi" label next to it. I've forgotten what that forum term is for labels next to the thread title. Was it header? Label? Highlight? I don't remember very well.

Anyways, with that said. If there's not enough activity to create separate sections for those consoles, then the only solution is to keep it within one section.

How about, the forum section could be renamed to "Nintendo DS/DSi Hacking & Homebrew"? Wouldn't that be a better idea? That way it won't confuse everyone into thinking that it's only for original Nintendo DS. There we go, problem solved!

Exactly my point. PSP Go/DSi/New3DS/PS4 pro/XB1S, meh, all the same when talking about making a dedicated forum. No need.

DSi's difference is that it runs its own system menu.
PSP Go and N3DS are exactly the same software wise as their predecessors.
Aside from some services like BT and NAND mounting on the Go and the N3DS with special services.

Wouldn't a subsection be justified to have since DSi homebrew is different than DS homebrew?
