Anyone noticed that Microsoft upgraded the calculator's look? It now has an aero theme / transparent look to it and the numbers and all are in squares.

Previously, the calculator was all merged up as one and with a white theme.

the windows 10 took a stupid downgrade...
in the past (win 7 and earlier) i could click the calculator button and instantly calculate something extremely quick.. loading limited by the computer specs..
now there is a fucking splash screen that emulates "calculator is loading, please wait" it's really frustrating..

the windows 10 took a stupid downgrade...
in the past (win 7 and earlier) i could click the calculator button and instantly calculate something extremely quick.. loading limited by the computer specs..
now there is a fucking splash screen that emulates "calculator is loading, please wait" it's really frustrating..

I was able to load it and do a simple multiplication problem just fine, no waiting. Even so, it's a calculator app, why bother complaining about it? I just use my phone one, after all it's more hands-on, literally. That's what calculators are for anyways, the hands. I'm learning gradually that Windows is like Nintendo, people are just hurting to complain about any little thing. I'm not zeroing on you in particular, just a general thought. Next there's going to be a thread complaining about Windows' Map app looking like crap. Fuck, just use Google Maps, it's an inoffensive thing anyways. Only complaint I have so far on the Creators Update is them pushing away CMD, but fortunately there's an easy fix for that. I prefer CMD over Powershell.

You need to be in the windows insider program and setup for the "fast ring" to get the latest updates

i don't have that many complains... the calculator in the pc is the most basic thing... my problem is they don't allow to disable the splash screen...
i can alt tab from a game in milliseconds, but opening a simple calculator takes more time than grabbing my phone and launch the calculator app.
the thing is. a calculator in the pc is really handy for me, it doesn't make sense that there is a splash screen in it..
(and my other complain is cmd being taken away lel)

but anyway, in recent updates or so, the splashscreen only displays now for a half a second, so i guess now it's ok

Oh yeah i have the new Acrylic one too. I got it open and can just see may animated wallpaper running underneath it.

To think that pretty soon all the apps will look like that...

I think you will be able to decide how transparent it will look in the fall creators update. Looking forward to Mac-style dropshadows too. Great artists steal.
