This was about 3DS, but we didn't notice anything terribly interesting back then

Games with miiverse integration may be more interesting since they get raw data instead of a prerendered webpage, but honestly not betting too much on that

That exploit is still being worked on right now, I believe. It's also taking more work than what was previously thought so we won't have that for some time

Well, I tried to access the website the video showed and it doesn't exist anymore, plus the entire video describes how to set up Loadiine for 5.5.1, so it's fake.

Currently, people can load custom videos as the ads that play during the episode, so in the video, they replaced the ad with a video that looks like the loading screen for the hombrew menu

AFAIK, replacing the video isn't that difficult, just intercepting the link retrieved by the app, although I'm not completely sure how it works. To actually get to the homebrew launcher would require new code and might take some time

How can I corrupt a mii? (I'm asking, thinking you mean that you're asking someone to corrupt a mii in general, just not with specific code in it.)
