Never hacked my vita. It is still in the box. It's an old OLED 1114-PCH model. I don't have any vita memory card. So I ordered SD2VITA recently. It's on the way. I know I need Henkaku to use it. So my basic questions are. Can I manually update my vita to 3.60 without using memory card? Can I install henkaku without a memory card? Is there an option please let me know, So I don't have to waste my money on Psvita memory card. Also what is the best hack now? I never searched it. Let me know where to start.

I dont know if you can utilize the adaptor and micro SD card for holding henkaku, if so then just wait until yours arrives.

SD2VITA adapter doesn't work without henkaku. So right now my job is to update my vita to 3.60 & install Henkaku. So i'm asking you is there a way to do that without buying wasting my money on PSV Memory Card.

Yes, you can manually update to 3.60 without the need for a memory card.

Follow the guide to setting up the HENkaku DNS server and you can't go wrong. Just be sure it says "Firmware 3.60 (変革 Compatible)" when you try to update your system using wifi:

Updating your Vita to 3.60 (HENkaku Update Server)

This is for users still under 3.60 looking to get a piece of HENkaku quickly and easily, without any hassle. This guide will take you all the way to the golden firmware, 3.60, through the use of Yifan_Lu's DNS server! It's seriously a very easy process, and extremely noob-friendly!

1) Go to Settings -> Network -> Wifi Settings -> Advanced Settings
2) Under DNS Settings, select 'Manual', and set the Primary DNS to 212.47.229.76.
3) Now you may go back to the root Settings menu and choose 'System Update' -> 'Update using Wifi'.
4) Only update if it says "Firmware 3.60 (変革 Compatible)", otherwise you should follow these steps again and ensure any other settings are not conflicting the process!
5) After you have downloaded and installed the 3.60 update, you are now free to start setting up HENkaku!

Is this the thing? Does it work?

If something goes wrong what do I do then? & also I don't see the advance settings option in the Wifi settings.
Oops, the guide should say Settings -> Network -> Wifi Settings -> Your Connected Access Point -> Advanced Settings. Will rectify that now.

Other than that, I highly doubt anything would go wrong, really. This DNS has been used countless times by other new users to get all the way up to 3.60. Hell, this DNS update server was made by the king of the Vita scene himself (Yifan Lu)

Recent enough (some months) versions of Henkaku do support installing and running from ur0: (internal storage for database, etc) if ux0: (game/media partition, usually a memory card) is not available, yup

If something goes wrong what do I do then?
Buy another motherboard with a lower OS and try again...
It's hard to accidentally update to a wrong version if you're paying attention, though!

also I don't see the advance settings option in the Wifi settings.
Haven't been to wifi settings in months, but tried pressing triangle on every screen imaginable?

Yes it said "Firmware 3.60 (変革 Compatible)". I started the updating now. :)

Thanks & now last thing how do I install henkaku with PSV Memory card?
As easy as going to http://henkaku.xyz/go from the browser. Installs a molecularShell bubble to your livearea where you can install your homebrews and backups, but you'll first need to go to Settings -> HENkaku Settings -> Enable Unsafe Homebrew to gain full access to all places on your Vita (without enabling unsafe homebrew, you're just limited to some select folders from ux0 only)

Also how do I test the joysticks? When I bought the console the seller told me joysticks doesn't work so I changed them. Don't know how do I test em. Is there a way?

u should probably install vita shell if u haven't already done so. maybe the homebrew browser as well? u might want to wait on that sd2vita cart though. I think u may need vita shell installed on the internal memory card, but I haven't looked into it much. that's how it is with the pstv anyway with a usb device. u need vita shell to be usable without using the usb device in order to mount the usb device. I think the sd2vita is the same way, but I don't know that for sure. I just bought an sd2vita cart as well, but it's coming from Europe, so it'll be a while.
