Hacking R4iSDHC issues?

I have a cart from r4isdhc.com I got the other year, I actually have 2 of them because it was a buy one get one free. It's the white dual core 2016 model cartridge.
I've gotten it to run most DS games, but have an issue with some specific ones that won't launch.
I don't know if it's an incompatibility issue or what but these games seem to just not load:

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Super Mario 64
Zelda Phantom Hour Glass
Zelda Spirit Tracks
Soma Bringer

The game loads but it will just be a white screen or the nintendo logo fading in upon boot before it freezes up.
I'm sure there's more games that I'll probably have issues with too, but those are the ones I've tried and failed no matter what microsd I put in it.
I know that my files aren't bad either because they run on my original R4 on my regular DS.
I don't know if it makes a difference but I'm also using it on a 2DS and I am running YSMenu no problem on it with the newest firmware for the cart. I had the same issue with the older firmware though.

Anyone having a similar problem or any experience with this R4 variant? I can't find any answers searching so I started a new thread.

Are you sure your sd card isn't broken? Test it with h2testw.

also try redownloading kernel and reinstalling it. It can't do any harm.

No, the sd should be fine. I'm running a scan on it now just to be sure, but I run a lot of .nds files on there and they work fine. There's just those particular ones that don't want to work. I've reformatted several times and tried just copying one game at a time and running it, keep getting the same issue on several micro sd ranging from old 2gb up to 32gb. And as I said, they work fine on an old R4 I have for my original DS. What I want to know is why it's just certain games when others like Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and Aliens Infestation, Megaman ZX Advent, etc have no problem.

they might not be supported. some games just simply don't work. you can try custom kernel (YSMenu)

I emailed r4isdhc to see if it's a compatibility issue with this card. I see it's a cheaper card from dsflashcart.com Maybe the R4i Gold 3DS Wood model is the better one to get.

You probably won't get a reply from them. I'd recommend using RetroGameFan's Multi Cart Menu instead. It's known to have better compatibility

Yeah that's what I have on it already though. I also tried setting it up with a hexedit on the YSMenu.nds with name changed to R4.dat which worked out great to have it load YSMenu straight out, but same compatibility issue.

Anyway thanks for the help. I was hoping to find someone else who has the same cart and any issues reported on it. Apparently r4isdhc.com cart is a clone of the cart from r4i-sdhc.com but it doesn't work with the firmware for that one.

Yeah, I'm going to try reformatting my sd cards again and starting over to see if I can get one to work.

Nope, same issues across the board. I'm going to say this cart just doesn't want to run those games or none of my sd cards like it.

Nevermind, I got it to work by patching the rom using dslazy. It's weird that the rom worked fine on my original DS and R4 but had to be patched to run on the 3DS with the R4i Dual Core?
