How to sideload PS1 Emulator on Xbox One (Needs further testing)

PSX-BOX is officialy dead. Due to some other projects I'm involved in, I don't have the time to work on it nor do I have the interest in the project anymore.

If you want PS1 Emulation on Xbox One you can either A. Get winpse10 for free (Not hard to find, just have a look around the forums) or B. You can install RetriX (A Libretro Port for Xbox One). Currently PS1 Emulation on RetriX is still a work in progress so keep that in mind.

I have not yet seen a single line of code from an emulator in the Github project. I suppose by now and some of you will have understood my words better.

Well of course you haven't smart guy :) Because It's a FRONT-END

The Emulator Core is STILL IN DEVELOPMENT

See I even put it in big bold letters for you so you would understand :)

UPDATE: Our backend PSXACT Is now capable of 3D Rendering. As you see here work on the GTE has progressed to the point where it can now successfully render the PS1 Logo. Adam has now turned his attention to booting games, and we will have games booting very soon :). @dominater01 @DrakeLyon @tunip3 @ElijahZAwesome

Thanks, Adam Becker deserves major credit he's the one who has been working night and day tirelessly on the backend developing it into a useable library for us :) . All I did was I just made the front-end (PSX-BOX).

As far as the store is concerned I'm afraid that's a No. For two reasons.

#1. Microsoft banned all Emulators from their store.
#2. I don't believe in charging for homebrew. It's always been free and always will be as long as I can help it.

Even If if i wanted to that ship has already sailed, as all the Emulators have been banned and removed from the store. Dev Mode is where we need to keep the emulators and homebrew in general and not on their store. Because they would just get removed hours or days later anyways.

It's not a bad idea just not a direction that I feel that the scene should go. Microsoft has already shown their disdain for emulators being on their store. My feeling is lets just stick to releasing on dev mode. Microsoft cannot pull emulators released for dev mode like they can if something gets on their store that they don't like

Share your dev account with them @tunip3
Alternatively, If they are students they can get a free dev account. If not I know multiple people have reported with success that
you can actually a buy a .edu email for like $5. Therefore making a $20 dev account cost much less

See this page for reference

I personally think it should be free as well. All you need to do to gain money is make a funding link saying "support us" or something like that

As many of you may be aware WinPSe (PCSX-R Port) has been officially removed.
The choice to remove it wasn't due to any one thing nor was it due to the pressure of some suppoused "Developer". It ultimately came down to knowing
that WinPSe was software that

1. Was very buggy and unstable

2. Did not include the source code thereby violating the freedoms of the users
as well as blatantly disprespecting the GPL License.

3. Because we can do so much better.

And here at GbaTemp that's exactly what we are doing. Currently we have a small dev team who is
working on bringing PSX Emulation to the Xbox One platform.
If you are a developer with prior knowledge of porting or
C/C++ or C#/XAML and you'd like to join the development team message me and we will
be happy to have you. This Project will include not just one but many different PS1 Emulators
or "Cores" for added compatibility, it will be fast and will include the source code thereby respecting your freedoms as given to
you by the License of the software. We will update this page as development progresses with a full tutorial. Til then stay golden my friends B-)

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol

    lol wireless charging

Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection

@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
