Mega man X, and i don't know, how often i'm not really monitoring the processing too much. Just when the system starts to get heated.
I'll check how high Snes9x gets on my pc rn.

I been using the latest one with the MSU in it, released in November 2016. It happens at random, and only noticed it when looking at the process manager. Though, not sure why. But I guess it depends on the game.

So if anyone was wondering I manage to find out why the ram was so high. If you look at the picture below, this is why. This setting was set like this, which caused it to go so high, this enables the emulator to perform a rewind function (Much like SNES classic) to correct mistakes during game. This value can be set up to 4000 which is in MB, the higher the value the longer you can rewind, but it consumes your ram. I didn't know that until I messed around with the settings but I disabled it and as you can see is not an issue anymore, so if you also had a problem like this, just remember that. I would assume that any other emulators with such stuff like VBA or a emulator with High processing priority would also cause such issues to check if they are. :)

I was going to guess that Windows 10 sand boxes stuff in Windows on Windows (WoW64 folder) and that was causing the RAM to be eaten up, but a good filter could do it too?

I would have to dig deeper into what it's doing and play with setting and see if it uses less RAM that way.

What is happening on your computer with your two screenshots? unless you are doing something needed i don't know but i'll like to point out a few things.

1) Why have you got foobar2000 installed, that can give all sorts of problems from eating resources to malware, maybe worse.
2) Why are you running Killer Instinct, while running Snes9x?
Second screenshot....
3) Why are you running two instances of Snes9x?

  2. I was playing killer instinct, is fun. :toot:
  3. I was not running 2 instances of Snes9x and not sure what makes you think i was.
  4. That screenshot was months ago:ph34r:

Look into Foobar2000, as what is said is very true, but yet i can only show you the door, you'll have to enter in yourself.

Ok.....sure. Still you can only play one window at a time, why have it open with snes9x?

The second screenshot, look at it, snes9x on the top which you have the drop-down open, then right at the bottom of the list after paint, you have it open again. That's why i stated that.
