Wow, you just have to update the TCP Gecko Installer, dummies. It's the pause/resume function and it works already. If you don't use the latest of both files it's your fault when there are major problems. I'm surprised people still don't get that but I will add another check for the version possibly. What users can screw up will be screwed up. Just like with the code handler. :nayps3:

Well, you seem like a friendly person. :) And I used the installer on your program and it still didn't give me the codehandler.bin file I needed.

Two questions @CosmoCortney

1.) Does this not work with RedNAND? I got up to Step 4.2., but JGecko U can't detect my Wii U. I tried auto-detecting its IP address and adding it manually.

2.) Do I need in install your Codehandler on every boot, or just once?

Thanks for any assistance.

To be fair, for all of BullyWiiPlaza's contributions he has probably received no more than $100 in donations, and that is for probably weeks worth of work if not months. I'm not a programmer, but I can relate to a lot of his frustrations in that people who cant do what I do sure seem to know a lot about how to do what I do, and how simple it is, and how lazy I am because I wont do the ridiculous crap they want.

Now, I don't want to be misunderstood, I'm NOT saying your out of line ether, I'm just saying " bully " has a legitimate reason for being a.. " bully "

Believe me, he can act any way he wants and it wouldn't phase me. If he wants to respect me all he wants, then fine. If he wants to disrespect me all he wants, then fine. They're just words that mean little to nothing no matter where they're aimed towards to. But one thing is for sure, I'm not going to cause any ruckus in the forums because I will only look like a bad guy myself.

It does, CosmoCortney's website. How can you judge if it's right or wrong?

I noticed it in the folder, but when I run it in Homebrew and press X to load CosmoCortney, it tells me that the codehandler.bin isn't found. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

It may be a long shot, is the folder named "TCPGecko"? The TCPGecko installer wont find the codehandler.bin file if the directory is named anything other than "TCPGecko" You would have to mod the the TCPGecko handler itself to point it to the renamed directory (not ideal).

Oh... my gosh. It worked just fine because of that error. Thank you for being so gentle about it! :)

Never a BloodMoon [skoolzout1]

*as a side note, the first code that makes every night a BloodMoon will still cause everynight to be a blood moon even when turned off, so you have to turn on the second code for just a second in order to return the cycle to normal.

@Casis i believe you wanted to know when i finally found a bloodmoon code

I recommend using this code to fast forward to night time if you want the blood moon to happen right away.

Hi, unfortunately your codes are not working anymore, at least not at all. I'm on the latest version, is that why?

No problem. I am glad to be of help. The only reason I know if this is because I was trying to setup multi versions of TCPGeckos, and finding out that every one of the installers were using the earliest codehandler.bin file. So decided to take a look at the file in an hex editor software, and lo and behold, the directory is hard coded into the installer itself.
For your next quote or your question about the codes not working, is due to the update that ZBOTW has received recently. They need to be ported over to the new v1.2.0 update as the code is for v1.1.2.

This is why people get frustrated:

Under the ( what do I need in order to use/create cheat codes ) tap: ( First post in the entire thread )

Step 1: Preparing your SD Card.
  1. Insert your SD Card into your computer
  2. Format it as FAT32 with default cluster size. However, 4096 Bytes should be fine as well
  3. Create the following paths and copy the files as shown here:
    SD_CARD:\wiiu\apps\homebrew_launcher\ {place homebrew_launcher.elf and its icon and meta here}
    SD_CARD:\wiiu\apps\TCPGecko\ {place tcpgecko.elf and its icon and meta here as well as the codehandler.bin}

And why is that so hard? There is a reason I made the Gecko U Updater tool so people don't even have to create folders/move files themselves since it seems kinda hard for some. However, nobody uses it so please link that tool in future.

When it isn't found, it will say the whole path so you can easily tell that you didn't put it there:
Code:
sd:/wiiu/apps/TCPGecko/codehandler.bin not found
I wish we knew how to do this relative to the ELF so the folder can be named anyhow. Even better, merging the code handler into the ELF so nobody can fail anymore.

@skoolzout1 Just wondering if you plan to update your BotW codes to the 1.2.0 update?

I've been busy with school and didn't know there was an update. I'll update all of the codes at the end of the day and post here when I'm done

Finally
My road to making it more user friendly (errr, preventing user stupidity) has progressed significantly as I announced those plans earlier. :grog::mellow::yayu:
  • The TCPGecko.elf installs the codehandler by default without the codehandler.bin
  • JGecko U performs server version checks for compatibility and otherwise refuses to continue ✓
  • Internet Browser freezing fixed after installing TCP Gecko ✓
Download both of the newest versions to get started. :wink:

Got some questions!! :O

Player 1 Position Modifier [Mr. Mysterio]
[0x4443BB4C] + 0x5020 = XXXXXXXX
[0x4443BB4C] + 0x5024 = YYYYYYYY
[0x4443BB4C] + 0x5028 = ZZZZZZZZ

Values are 32-bit floats.

So I find the value of 1 for 1st position in 32 bit float and put in all 3 lines?

Item Picture Modifier [Mr. Mysterio]
0x3FBBBAC8 = 000000XX
* XX = Item Picture ID

Current Item Modifier [Mr. Mysterio]
[0x3FB3CD70] + 0x12C = 000000XX
[0x3FB3CD70] + 0x130 = 000000XX
[0x3FB3CD70] + 0x134 = 000000XX
NOTE: Switching to a plant (0x0000000D) and star (0x00000008) usually works very well.
WARNING: Do not switch a single item with a triple or a triple with a single. Do not switch an item to or from a crazy 8.
* 000000XX = Item ID

And does this one still work on 4.1 version (disc)? Seeing as its not added to that version, but many adresses still share the same cross region etc.
Also about this code, picture modifier is just visual, correct?

And the modifier code, makes it possible to get 3 items at once? Or it swaps to the other on usage of the first? Or do I need to add just 1 value (same one) on all 3 adresses? Might be obvious but I'm tired and dont wanna screw up any progress or so :P

Can also mention that speed values are not added to the "MK8 Value" spoiler =p So must either search all posts in this topic, or find it in one of the "old versions" ones.

Thanks in advance =) Just installed my CFW today, and my GF really wants to finally win against the CPU on easy and harder difficulties x]
