Help in repairing radio?

Hi again!

So my grandfather had this radio that I ended up with, and after lots of use, it broke. I've resoldered the battery pads, and nothing, no audio. The speaker works, is did the pop test. Any advice?

Some tests will be to check the voltage, the capacitors and look for any cracked solder joints.

I also have a radio downstairs with a dodgy 'click wheel' so that's another thing to check.

I would also mark the potentiometers with a pen in case you move any of them so they can be restored.

Good points

Checking voltages, caps, and solder joints is definitely a solid start. I’ll also keep the potentiometer tip in mind-that’s a smart precaution. Hopefully you can narrow it down soon!

checking voltage points, cleaning pcb and solder joints could help, maybe? Swapping caps might help as well
