Yeah. Weirdest thing is Velvet has same voice actor as Vert from neptunia, so the actress has lot of range and distinct voice for different kinds of situations but yeah - I liked berseria but I was not in absolute love with it.
That said I think one part of why people like Neptunia knowing it is not a perfection of gaming or even close, is because it's cast is that much carefree. But at this point we are swaying from the main point.
To be fair, I was the one who points out cries as a very good objective thing you can compare straight where it seems some actors can underdeliver and get OK'd and others just deliver.
The part was in the official trailer shown in at least 7 different languages so...

Or maybe Agony is what she is feeling in that moment of the game and if you know the scene and shit behind it. straight out agony is not out-of-place for her. Not only that but all other languages than English also get it better than the English actor - the English voice actor for Zelda is just too amateurish and that what she really is in voice acting circles if you see what her past work has been.So in other words you prefer overacting to subtlety.

There is no subtlety or anything with the English voices she is just not good at faking crying at all and the animation mismatches that fabulously to make a pile of poo.
Zelda's voice acting is not "subtle" or anything, she is just an amateur they chose most likely because of her VERY soft, somewhat wavery speech manner that is as far as the voice alone - just right on the money for same characterization as in the Japanese. The moment I watched few scenes of Zelda in Japanese I got why they chose this actor, at least for her voice alone. But she does not do delivery on par with other languages, and the localization director did not push her to give a better performance either.
I prefer good acting and situation aware acting over bad acting or direction that are so bad that it does not even match the character animation anymore.
I assume you can just use the title key from that title key site when it's available since I've checked and the voices isn't there.I'm pleasantly surprised to see Nintendo actually patch this in. I suppose I'll be giving them my money after all then.
But that'll be on the Switch. For now, the correct course of action to get the best experience would be to uninstall the modded game, install a clean copy and then download the patch from the website which shall not be named, yes?

That can be true, I agree. Since nintendo removed gamepad's features most likely to make the two versions be on par with each other rather than the weird explanation "they started to be weird for the game anyway" - Since Wii U owners almost instantly found a way to homebrew another language into the game true move of parity would enable audio tracks officially, I am quite glad for this move and still supporting Wii U owners in this - since Wii U version was region locked and did not include all voice tracks in all regions they even made a free DLC download to enable Japanese audio alone, most likely (which you still have to download to enable the option for any language though)Who knows, it's possible it was this project that lead them to realise how strongly people felt about it. I get the impression that it simply didn't occur to Nintendo that anyone would care.

Speaking in a mildly pessimist way, Nintendo might have added multi-lang because it was a reasonable argument for homebrew and hacking their consoles.
I still had this with the official dub. Turns out the problem is tied to the system settings (using Stereo- instead of Surround-Sound fixes this). Depending on how your TV outputs the sound, different levels (or channels) of audio might be lacking (e.g. music, voices or npc sounds in my case)....My dub only works if a play on the Wii U tablet (with the voices being muted if I switch screens). Anyone else noticed such behavior?
