Homebrew is there a way to use save files from PC GBA emulator on 3ds gba emulator?

I'd just like to continue playing my game of ruby destiny on my 3ds, in my bed...
and keep playing it tomorrow on PC
ID like to know how to use my save file i had from my Visual Boy Advance on my 3ds emulator

You can use decrypt9 to inject saves, just not too sure how

From emulator to emulator you SHOULD be able to use the same files. Just move the save over to the same directory as the rest of your ROMs. I did it last week with my Minish Cap save. If your save was made with a virtual console inject, I'm not sure how you do that.

Whatever the battery file is, I think .SAV, savestates are generally emulator specific and will not work on a 3ds emulator

Correct, battery file is .sav

Yes, older games actually used batteries to hold saves, that's why they go bad after a few years

Game carts hold their save data in a battery. The battery file is a file containing the data that would be held in a battery inside the cart.

Try searching for .sav in your 3DS's SD card

I can't help cause I use GBA vc, not emulators. Unless there is a specific emulator function you want I would recommend you switch as well.

Yes and yes. The only problem is it is a chore to make the GBA vc game to run on the 3ds, but it will use your current save. GBA vc runs far better than emulators and runs every game.

You'll have to reinject your save, just as your have to replace your save in an emulator every time. With VC your have to use a program to inject it, I forget the name.

I used this to make a cia with my rom, doesn'T work, I keep getting a black screen on my 3ds

A Google search tells me under sysnand options - miscellaneous there's options to inject or dump gba vc saves on decrypt9. That should work with your .sav.
