Back on topic, there must be a large number of incidents of people getting viruses and the likes for the FTC to give us a warning of it. I mean seriously, you'd think the people who even KNOW of emulation would be smart enough not to look for an emulator of a brand new console.

There is so much unnecessary flame wars happening due to this lack of /s, or should I say people who cannot comprehend sarcasm when it matters most. By you joking that PC users can shit on Switch Users (solely on the basis that BotW, the only notable switch game and the main reason many have the switch. can be emulated), he automatically equated it to "LOOK! PC MASTAH RACE CAN EMULATE ARRRVRRRYTHINGGGG". To be completely fair there were some legitimate ones years ago within the first 1-2 years of the 3DS's life that generated eShop codes that were redeemable. The unfortunate part is whoever used these generators were given codes that were easily traceable back to the system that used them. Nintendo was able to catch on quick and banned systems that abused this.

In this case it doesnt seem that damning to wanting to protect a newly released console after having the 3DS/Wii U so exploitable with emulators already sprouting for them. I cant blame them at all.

I definitely remember saying that the instance of one game that isnt even original to the console writes off the whole thing, that does leave interpretation that the Switch is no more than a LoZ machine, which again is subjective.
