Like the N3DS's microSD management? I remember someone on "that ISO site" created a CIA for the N3DS that automatically boots up microSD management from the home menu. Anything like that for the O3DS/2DS?

FTP-GMX is a pretty ideal choice if MicroSD Management isn't your style.

Yes but any ftp program will be slow as feck for large files. Great for smaller files.

Moving large files from your PC to your 3DS will generally be slow no matter if you use SD Management or FTP, It's definitely better for small files because of the start up time though.

OK. I have FTP-GMX installed on my 2DS, but my laptop isn't picking up anything. What do I do?

It's not the FTP protocol that's slow it's the 3DS wifi chip.

If it's a FTP server then use Filezilla, cyberduck etc and connect to your 3DS ip, there is a FTP server in the homebrew launcher if you used 3ds.guide aswell.

On your 3ds start the FTP software and it will show the IP and port etc. 127.0.0.1:5000. Enter that in filezilla and hit connect.

"Protocol error: Unknown protocol identifier (0x50 0x50 0x48). Most likely connected to the wrong port.
Connection to server closed."

Example
127.0.0.1:5000

127.0.0.1 is the IP
5000 is the port.

Should work, be sure to use no username or password.

What you should do depends on what your goal is.

If your goal is to install CIAs without having to pull out the scard, then use FBI's remote install from ftp server feature, and a little windows program called Boop. It's quite useful.

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
