Nintendo has commented on the Switch leak that happened a few days ago. In fact, Nintendo explained what had happened, saying that “earlier this week, individuals claimed to prematurely purchase a small number of Nintendo Switch systems from an unspecified retailer. Nintendo has determined these units were stolen in an isolated incident by employees of a U.S. distributor, with one system being illegally resold. The individuals involved have been identified, terminated from their place of employment and are under investigation by local law enforcement authorities on criminal charges.”

The statement closed with the representative saying that “Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on March 3, 2017, and we look forward to everyone being able to discover the wonders of the new system for themselves at that time.”

For some reason I cannot believe this one bit. I just think Nintendo are trying to cover their asses
pretty bold statement dude, they would need a motive to do something like that.
1) what would they gain from throwing a few guys into jail exactly?
2) if it hadnt been stolen, nintendo wouldnt have legally been able to take it back.

Who's the guy that bought the stolen Switch anyway? The one who put up that video showing the initial setup and UI?
the same guy who also posted its serial number, instantly tracking its store, and getting everyone caught XD

I think it's plausible that he legitimately believed that he was going through a retailer, maybe even someone working at a retail chain

i think these people knew exactly what they were doing
hope he didn't paid full price for it though, because now he'll be losing both the console and his money

i think he means the third guy not involved in the robbery was oblivious-
he might have belived he bought it from a legit retailer worker.

plus, would you pass up the chance to own a switch before release? (or any console for that matter)
