To be honest, I am thinking about opening up my Switch, checking the system out and then packing it back up and taking a wait and see approach with exploits.
The only game I am interested in really playing would be a new F-Zero game and since (for now), that isn't happening, really have no reason to update the firmware.

Of course ill update the firmware. Its to early to not too.
Plus when a system gets crack wide open there is no need to not update.
But thats just me, Ill wait on hacking.

If it dont came with web browser at launch, update it to the first version with it, im 80% sure it will be the first entrypoint.
You're assuming they'll ever add a web browser.

Realistically I see them just skipping the feature entirely because it's really only used as an entry point these days

update but also look up gbatemp/hax sites regularly and you wont be screwed.
i always update my systems , but i often check sites to not update higher, than what the exploit demands etc.

i will not buy the switch to put it in my shelves but to play/use it from day1.
i will try to get a bundled version like i did with my WiiU, served me very well despite owning only couple games, MK8/SSB etc.

Maybe web browser is hidden in the system settings, they said mii maker is still there just under system settings, or maybe you have to download from eshop. Who knows what is hidden under system settings if they moved mii maker.

Possible we havent even seen a full UI yet.
I know i seen some youtube video of game play and they show the same UI but im willing to bet thats just for the ealry systems.
Like there ver is probably 0.9 and the ones we get will be 1.0

How to prepare for Switch exploits:

1. Get a Switch at launch.
2. Download as many apps as possible, since one of those might serve as an entry point in the future.
3. Let it sit and collect dust for the next two years until someone finds a way to hack it. Then update the console to the latest version of that time, since the exploit isn't written for your launch day firmware.
4. Have fun.

After buying every game, are you sure you don't want to play them at least once?

Good luck on waiting 5 years to open your Switch

I know it sounds a little crazy but I've got a N3DS, purchased as SM3DLand Bundle, which went straight from the box to a freezer bag. Well, first I removed the backplate while wearing vinyl gloves, so I could get the microSD out. But since then, it has been inside the freezer bag and my skin has barely touched it, if at all. I ran it through plailect's guide all while inside that freezer bag, and game adds through freeshop and FBI since. One day, when nothing else worthwhile will ever be released for 3DS again, I'll take it out of the freezer bag, and put it back in its box. And when/if the other, identical N3DS I currently use every day ever breaks, I'll get out the untouched one.
