Thanks, just info overload I guess, idk how I missed thatYour in rednand so just install the homebrew launcher channel

You got a pretty nice idea of all the stuff over there , congratulations there are dudes on gbatemp that doesn't read anything specially in the Wii u forums , but whateverI'm fresh on Wii U scene and I'm trying to understand the real diference between this and Haxchi.
Also I just read something about CBHC, that auto-launch Haxchi on boot, so I'm really confuse about Mocha since CBHC+Haxchi looks like the same about signature patches. (Or am I just being yet more confused on this?)
Mocha uses a dedicated folder on SD root? This is how it doesn't need the fw.img?
Also beside that main CFW feature (signature patches in order to install and run "everything") Haxchi is more like an offline solution for that Internet Browser exploit we all we're using for over a year in order to launch the Homebrew Launcher. You got a pretty nice idea of all the stuff over there , congratulations there are dudes on gbatemp that doesn't read anything specially in the Wii u forums , but whatever
Yes Haxchi and CBHC both have a "mini cfw" (which allows eShop/DLC/Unsigned apps to run ) Mocha is another cfw a little more focused to developers so at the moment it's better the mini cfw haxchi has because it's faster to load.
Neither mocha or haxchi uses a fw.img
make: *** [/mocha/ios_usb/ios_usb.bin.h] Error 127
Just open command in the main folder "shift key & right click of mouse" and type "make" you need your libiosuhax files in devkitppc/powerpc-eabi.. as well as your devkitPro/ppc.. path and also add your variable environments to your pc. I'm not sure if it will just compile as typing "make" I cannot remember myself also you want the source code "tar.gz" master folder not the others, I always use those for compiling files the others seem to have some issues sometimes. You want to try compiling the homebrew_launcher.rpx file, now that ones tricky to sort out!I haven't tried to build mocha, I have added some patches in ios_fs_patches_asm.s and I want to build mocha, I just go to the root of the mocha source code folder and run the command make, right?

Because that's what the console supports natively...I am just wondering why homebrews use fat32 instead of ntfs and why should we also use it for hard drives that we might also store something bigger than 4 gb xD
I thought the WiiU was using a completely different custom format.. so wii u format is just a modded format based on fat32 or u meant sd format? xDBecause that's what the console supports natively...
ExactlyEDIT: Oh I guess u mean just the sd's format and maybe change something to the system and trick it to use fat32 format also for USB now I get it XD so that's just less work alright that's smart.
Of all the file systems, why NTFS? It's proprietary and has fragmentation issues. Why not Ext4?If only I had the knowledge and I could code on wii u and understand how it works XD I would also try to add ntfs support but I am not a programmer x.x
ntfs is the most modern fs it supports like 10eb storage capacity if I remember well (theoretically ofc) and doesn't have 4gb limit. There are movies higher than 4gb and super smash Bros brawl .wfbs is like 7,3gb (ik it can be splitted) these are the only files exceeding 4gb I have ever seen. Just that XD So it's only problem for people who store their movies on their hard drives. It's not that big deal for most people ikOf all the file systems, why NTFS? Anyway, it may not be necessary, since there aren't files bigger than 4 GB, as far as I know.
Unless you want to use your Wii U drive for "generic" data storage as well, who cares? You could probably partition the drive anyway.ntfs is the most modern fs it supports like 10eb storage capacity if I remember well (theoretically ofc) and doesn't have 4gb limit. I didn't even know it XD I am not Linux or Ubuntu user unfortunately + I have a smart tv that I guess wouldn't recognize Ext4 so.. fat32 or ntfs is my only troise :oUnless you want to use your Wii U drive for "generic" data storage as well, who cares? You could probably partition the drive anyway.
By the way, of course Ext4 supports >4 GB files, and it's more "modern" than NTFS as well...
Why would you plug your Wii U drive into your TV anyway?I didn't even know it XD I am not Linux or Ubuntu user unfortunately + I have a smart tv that I guess wouldn't recognize Ext4 so.. fat32 or ntfs is my only troise :o
Because I love the big screen to watch movies with my familyWhy would you plug your Wii U drive into your TV anyway?
