Hacking Interested in buying a Japanese 3ds xl - Question

For a Japanese 3ds console, if i want to use a home-brew entry point such as ootd. I need a Japanese copy of ootd right?

Why not buy a regular one and do a region change? Or if you're not comfortable with that, set up an emunand of JPN region.

To take advantage of his "small fee", you'll have to mail your 3DS to him.

Well its going to depend on your firmware, if you just want a dg or cfw setup and if you want region swap

You can always change the board to a US one but the shell is still your Nene waifu edition. If you have an extra US 3ds xl that is. It's also quite easy to cfw and region change nowadays.

I have rather bad experiences with small hardware, so i doubt i'll open it for a board swap. I know how to install cfw, and all. I might just end up doing the region change myself if it isn't too difficult.

That you can do my yourself if you have the time and patience with just browser hax. Just follow the guide and get a9hl setup and then move on to region change. You can pm me if you want me to do it for you but usually people who send me their JPN consoles are on 8.1 or 11.x due to the need of additional hardware

i see thanks for the offer. Browserhax still works for 10.7 I thought it was patched after 10.6.

I thought I read that you need to do something to your router to be able to access it. I personally have cubic ninja and oot JPN carts so I'm not b 100% sure

Yeah, i think the easiest stress free way currently is to use a Japanese copy of OOTD. Time to find a cheap copy of the game on ebay lol.

I assume you have an already hacked 3DS of any region to install OoT3Dhax? If so, you can get OoT3D from Amazon.co.jp (they ship to the US) here. It's about $27 including shipping. Change the language to English at the top to make it easier to navigate.

Yeah, i have another N3ds with luma installed already.

I have a powersave dongle, so i'll just directly write the rawsavegameimage.

I've heard Powersaves is region locked, though I don't have any experience with it myself. Either way, you should be able to install it with your other N3DS.

Despite coming from Japan, Amazon ships stuff fast. I ordered a Japanese 2DS on Saturday and got it yesterday (Tuesday).

wow, that's fast. I'm not in a rush at all, but i did place an order.

Also, just put in my love plus game into my powersave dongle, and it reads the cartridge!

EDIT: Ordered the game yesterday, and it's confirmed by dhl, it's coming tomorrow! That's insanely fast, 2 days.
