Those are damn fine commits:

Also, no offence, but you did not change much besides some menu strings. and what's this exactly?

I'm not implying anything, but I really don't see any difference in Github, unless of course you forgot to upload changed source files :)

and what's this exactly?

The sign of an amateur wannabe dev taking yet another person's work in the hopes of making a few changes and splicing together aspects of yet more people's work, in an attempt to get attention and recognition as a dev. Don't get me started on the bit about labeling the thread as a release, with no release in sight that isn't 99.9% someone else's work.

The GitHub diff is the author accidentally including their build/ folder in a commit, adding some binaries related to IOS_BSP, and messing with the menu a bit. I guess they're still getting started.

I know we shouldn't jump to conclusions early, but geez can't there be actual content before even considering to make a thread about the "features"?

And saying it's a release, in the fucking title of the thread. then saying it's not a release and one will be out in 1-2 weeks?

Well let's all fork dimok's custom firmware, edit some menu strings, give it a new stupid name, change the logo a bit and call ourselves devs. -.-

Seriously though, I hope this is a joke. Cause if it's not the OP, or should I call you Luke, is either a child or incredibly stupid. Sorry for being rude.

I mean, who can really doubt the legitimacy of their work when they made this masterpiece?

Let's just hold on a bit, we're being a bit hard on the guy. I mean, all developers have ambitions behind their projects (just ask me about COSSubstrate. I dare you) and just because this one got a [release] tag a bit early doesn't mean we should immediately discount it. I'm curious to see how this goes once we have some actual code to work off. Sure, a mistake was made with the pitch, but the potential is still there.

If a thread was made that had this exact feature list but simply said "I'm working on this" we'd probably get all hyped up about it, just as we have many times before. This time we get more (source) but the response is entirely negative.

P.S. Thank god for the Internet Archive.

Calm down guys. Mocha is open source, it can be forked by anybody who wants to. Let's see if anything comes out of this.

Forking a project which has only been out officially for less than a few days isn't exactly the best way to have a well supported custom firmware (which, as stated in the post, is one of your goals). At least give the original project creator some justice by attempting to contribute back before forking it to a different name, stripping his name off and making it a footnote. Also separate planned features from actual features, it's really misleading.

Let's not turn the Wii U CFW scene into the 3DS CFW scene. Seriously, this is a homebrew community. We should be encouraging projects, not discouraging them.

Or someone fork it because it's open source.
Also the creator's name hasn't been removed, it's right in the credits.
