Kojima Productions, in collaboration with Nixxes Software, have made Death Stranding 2: On the Beach available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store today. For the occasion, the trailer above was aired.

In this standalone sequel, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH offers a new range of tools, weapons and vehicles at Sam’s disposal. With his companions from DRAWBRIDGE by his side, Sam takes on a new adventure to connect Australia to the Chiral network. Beset on all sides by enemies, Sam will have to shoot, sneak, and sprint his way out of trouble, as well as survive natural disasters such as earthquakes, sandstorms and forest fires, and brave the ruinous Timefall as he strives to save humanity from extinction once again. The Social Strand System returns, connecting players from around the globe allowing you to shape someone else’s world, and have their actions shape yours.

Features exclusive to the PC version include:

• Full integration with NVIDIA’s DLSS, AMD’s FSR and Intel’s XeSS and upscaling and frame generation technologies
• Uncapped frame rates
• Customised graphical settings
• Super-ultrawide (32:9) support for gameplay, with standard ultrawide (21:9) support for in-game cut scenes
• Full mouse and keyboard support with custom keybind mapping

Is DS1 worth playing? I bought it years ago for $10 but never got around to playing it after hearing it was 90% walking, and overhyped like every other game this guy made.

When it was first released I bought too and couldn't get into it, right from the beginning!

Then my brother who has completed the game, came over a year after it was released and started it, under my profile and showed me what to do, and then it got interesting.

I never got around to completing it, due to work, but put about 30 hours into it, great story and loved the characters.

Well if you already bought it you might as well play it, it really is just a walking simulator with some movie cutscenes in between, there was only like 1 or 2 moments that were pretty cool to me but otherwise it was just chill walking from point a to point b. Id give it a 7/10.

It's pretty sad, though, that some Sony fanbois are jealous that PC users get to enjoy the game now. No kings and no console exclusives!

I got the PS5 version for 20€ after finally finishing the first one and because I thought it will take a while until the PC version will be even announced. Now I'm not sure if I really can miss out on FSR4 and RT. But now paying extra the premium price ... or miss out on online features going the other way, I don't know.

You getting a pirated repack doesn't disqualify the video from being a release trailer for the PC version. Doesn't even make sense.
