It's all well and good that it works, but....why would you want it? The DSTwo is fine on it's own, I don't see the need for loading woodr4 on it.

OK thanks on my 2 go it is possible to boot ysmenu and wood?because this 2 are _dsmenu.dat
I don't think so. I am pretty sure you set up YSmenu/Wood R4, then rename the other one to an .nds file and be able to boot that. So if you want Wood R4+YSmenu you would keep the Wood R4 files as is, then have a ysmenu.nds to boot into ysmenu. But I am not sure if that actually works with this plugin. It's been literal years since I've touched this stuff.

A shame the source for this was never released. Though it's not required like someone else said, WoodR4 might've been under GPL3 but all this did was emulate R4 DLDI and load _DS_MENU.DAT, containing none of it's code. Anyway, if it was we may be able to get R4iDSN DLDI emulation and run Wood 1.64 with SDHC support.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.

It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
